Laughing Through Alzheimers: A Possitive Look At a Negative Situation
The intent of this book is to enable people to recognize the positive aspects of Alzheimer's. There are, of necessity, some less than humorous stories. There are some that are poignant, some that are silly, some that are sweet, and some that are funny.

Let your emotions take themselves where they will. Laugh, chuckle, snicker, sniff, cry. One nice thing about reading is that it is generally a solitary occupation so those of you who are uncomfortable crying in front of someone can do it in private. (There are a few selections that still bring tears to my eyes even after working with them so many times.)

Above all, be aware that people with Alzheimer's continue to be people. They may not be quite the people we remember, but they are just as unique now as they were before; they are just as worthy of being loved as they were before; they are just as aware of the immediate as they were before. For all the abilities they have lost, they deserve recognition of what they have left.
