About the Author

About The Author
Alisha Gaddis (Los Angeles, CA) is an Emmy and Latin Grammy Award winner, humorist, writer, and performer. She is a proud AEA and SAG AFTRA member, having performed on Broadway, at the Sydney Opera House, on the Comedy Central Stage, and on numerous television shows. Gaddis is executive producer and star of Lishy Lou and Lucky Too on PBS's Emmy Award-winning The Friday Zone. She is the co-founder (along with her husband) of Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band, who have been called “true stars...that burst with energy” by NPR's All Things Considered. An alumna of New York University's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, Gaddis performs comedy as part of her nationally touring solo shows and at Improv West, Upright Citizens Brigade, and the Comedy Store. She is the editor of five other books in Applause's Monologues That Are Actually Funny series.
