About the Author

A journalism major in college, Linda Lovely has always made her living as a writer, primarily in public relations and advertising fields. Now, she's focusing on her first love-fiction.

Linda writes romantic suspense and mysteries that offer a main course of thrills coupled with a generous side of romance. Linda's new suspense novel, LIES: SECRETS CAN KILL, is set in 1938 in her hometown, Keokuk, Iowa. This novel proves great stories dwell in every era.

In addition to LIES, her published fiction includes novels in two series. Her award-winning MARLEY CLARK MYSTERIES feature a kick-ass, 52-year-old heroine, while her SMART WOMEN, DUMB LUCK romantic thrillers follow three smart-and very different-women brought together by dumb luck.

The author's strong heroines, love of Carolina and Iowa settings, and her sense of humor help make her books standouts. Her manuscripts have earned final spots in 15 contests, including RWA Golden Heart and Daphne du Maurier contests. DEAR KILLER, the first Marley novel, was a finalist in the RWA Golden Quill published novel competition. DEAD LINE made the finals of the National Readers' Choice Awards for Romantic Suspense.

Linda has served five terms as president of the Upstate South Carolina Chapter of Sisters in Crime. She's also a member of Romance Writers of America (RWA), RWA's Kiss of Death chapter, and International Thriller Writers. She is a volunteer staffer for the renowned Writers' Police Academy.

A native of Iowa, Linda has called the South home for more than thirty years. She and her husband live beside a South Carolina lake in the Upstate. The author's hobbies include reading, swimming, kayaking, tennis, and gardening.
