About the Author

Native of Tennessee. Married my high school sweetheart and father of four.

No stranger to the Canyon Lands of Utah, nor the Wind River country of Wyoming. Sharing them with my daughters and grandchildren is my joy.

I’m often asked about my first name. It’s a First Nation name and means
“One who wanders about the land.”
My sixth Grandmother was Cherokee of the Fifth Nation. Her name was Giga Dadagwadoa - Prairie Flower.

Why do I write?

Writing helps me to feel what I can’t touch;
To understand a voice that speaks to me, but cannot be heard.
Words help to almost have – What I will never hold.
And,
Its language tries to capture what holds me
