About the Author

Carla Y. A. Elliott knows firsthand the obstacles of overcoming life's adversities. Ms. Elliott began motherhood while still a teenager and is now a mother to three beautiful children. She joined the world's greatest Air Force in hopes of creating and building a successful life for her young family, and she did just that! Carla powered through her career, reaching the pinnacle of the enlisted ranks, ultimately achieving and retiring in the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. While still on active duty, devastation hit. A week into a temporary assignment (TDY), Ms. Elliott was diagnosed with breast cancer. At the advice of a friend, she began journaling while going through treatment and decided to live intentionally. Her experience and healing through writing were the inspiration for this journal. She now shares her story of hope with others going through the same challenge. Today, Ms. Elliott is a life coach and the owner of Fearless Faith Solutions, LLC., leveraging her 25 years of experience providing leadership/management consulting.
