About the Author

Diana Dunham-Nelson is a millennial wife, mom of two boys, a writer and an entrepreneur. A self proclaimed “life-stylist” her path encompasses anything that makes her life worth living. Spending time with family, and vacationing are among her favorite things to do. Writing has always been her expressive medium and she has been writing to combat stress for years and uses it as a release. Diana believes it is never too late to follow your dreams. I loved it! I think this book should be in every daycare and school with small black children. You've brought a real message to the forefront. I enjoyed it. And it's cute. I think for me the best part is that we don't typically look at black boys and men and their hair journey or how it is depicted by people outside of the diaspora. It's always us black woman on the front of that issue. This was the hair journey story I didn't know I needed to hear. Lol no cap!

Loc Love is the first book by author Diana Dunham-Nelson of what I believe will be many. It is an awesome children's book. Join Danté and Cairo on a beautifully illustrated journeyed they walk the path of their fathers' discovery of Love-for-self. a beautifully written story of pride and determination every boy or girl will enjoy. my favorite part is "it bothered him that someone would judge him, he took a stand." We all will have to take a stand one day why not learn that early in life. 5 star
