Overview

Set in Corsica and France in the year 1841 and narrated in first person by Alexandre Dumas himself, this book tells of his experiences on a trip to that island, where he meets Lady Savilia and her son Lucien, who tells him that he has a twin brother named Louis. Siamese twins that have since been separated, the brothers’ union is forever maintained, making one feel the pain of the other and vice versa, regardless of the distance separating them.

About the Author

Alexandre Dumas was a French writer, best known for his historical novels of high adventure which have made him one of the most widely read French authors in the world. Many of his novels, including The Count of Monte Cristo, The Three Musketeers, Twenty Years After, and The Vicomte de Bragelonne were originally serialized. He also wrote plays and magazine articles and was a prolific correspondent. Javier Albiñana is a translator.
