Overview

After nearly losing Wendy, Peter returns her to her family but fears she may not be safe from Hook. Torn between protecting Wendy and leading the lost boys, he must decide to fulfill his duty or follow his heart.

Wendy pans, and awakes in her bedroom, clothes stained in blood, with no memories of Peter or Neverland. Wendy struggles to return to her normal life, for shadows plague her during the day, and where shadows roam-monsters follow.

With Hook closing in on the lost boys' hideout, Peter faces a betrayer from within the ranks of Neverwood. The final battle is on the horizon, and the secret to victory lies with the shadows, but only one can hear their voice, the Lost Girl.

She’s done it again. Another excellent book that you can’t put down, but also don’t want to see come to an end. Great ending to an exciting series!

I can’t get enough of this series!! I’m loving this modern take on the classic Peter Pan. All the key players are there with a clever twist to their roles. Great action as the confrontation builds for the epic battle. You’ll find me, second star to the right and straight on ‘til morning as I grab book 3 and hold on tight!

Incredible! Outstanding! Amazing! There are so many words to describe book 2 of the Neverwood Chronicles. Chanda Hahn has done it again. I feel like I was on rollercoaster with my emotions. Chanda does a great job making you feel like you are in the story, I could picture the scenes as if they were happening right in front of me. We learn so much about Wendy's past and how her discovering it all pushes her to fight. I also love how Chanda pulls even the smallest details from Peter Pan into her story, making it make sense in every way. The ending had me heart break into a million pieces. I'm not sure how long it will take me to recover from this one.

With this second installment of The Neverwood Chronicles, I found myself swept away yet again on a wild ride of action, suspense, and witty dialog. This modern day reimagining of Peter Pan takes elements from the original fairy tale and transforms them into a modern day epic tale of love, loss, and sacrifice. The pacing was perfect and felt effortless as the twists and turns of the story enticed me to read one more chapter, one more page. Just as with all her books, I never fully knew what was going to happen next. That kind of storytelling is immensely entertaining and exactly why I keep coming back for more. Hahn's writing style and voice propelled the story along, despite a few grammatical errors. In each setting, I found it easy to visualize the events unfolding and feel the atmosphere of the room. Her language was vibrant and compelling, though there were a few moments where I was wanting more from Wendy. There was so much depth for her characters that made it easy to empathize with their struggles. The characters were engaging and individualistic, which only added to a vivid plot. I loved getting to see more of the lost boys and their powers and how each boy has something different to offer in their fight against Hook and the organization that hunts them. Peter and Wendy's relationship continues to develop, though not at all how I pictured it would, and I love it. As the characters gear up for an epic ending, I'm once again thrilled after this book and eagerly waiting for the next.

Just thought had a lot of interesting details in it. I enjoyed the story of Wendy and Peter and getting caught up with all the other Lost Boys. We seem to find ourselves in a whole new mystery this book. I hope to see where Wendy grows in her powers and we figure out exactly some of the stuff that she has going on. I mean wow the last part of the book was wow.

I would have never thought of that ending! Oh my gosh I cannot wait for the next book! I love how different this is from Peter Pan, but how much it draws from the Peter Pan story! I really enjoy how Chanda Hahn keeps you guessing! It is one twist after another.

I've been looking forward to this book since 2 days after the release of Lost Girl. Chandra Hahn doesn't disappoint with this second book in the series. After Wendy pans, she forgets who she is and those she knows, but her heart remembers Peter. After kids start disappearing, she knows she is somehow connected and the police believe she is responsible. Wendy must decide who she can trust in a world she doesn't remember.

A fun, dystopian re-creation of a classic tale.

Reviewed by Liz Konkel for Readers' Favorite Lost Boy by Chanda Hahn is the second book in the Neverwood Chronicles. Wendy has returned to her family, but she has no memory of anything before. She was found years prior by her adoptive parents who pulled her out of the water. She struggles to get her life back to normal, but nothing feels the way it should. The boy she's told she liked suddenly isn't so charming. Teenagers are disappearing and the police seem to think she knows why. Then she meets him and everything changes. The mysterious boy claims to know her and opens her eyes to the threats all around her. When monsters find her, everyone she loves is in danger. As she uncovers her past, all roads seem to lead back to the boy who can fly. J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan hasn't been seen quite like this before. Chanda Hahn spins a modern tale with scientific experiments, teenage struggles, and mystery. Wendy struggles to get her life back to normal but mysterious disappearances of teenagers coincide with her own memory loss, putting her into the spotlight of the police. Hahn includes several Easter eggs throughout which will delight every Peter Pan fan. Peter's infamous name is often referenced with pan meaning a special ability to return from the dead, which is a fun wink at the idea of Peter being a boy who will never grow up. Other notable references found are the clever uses of tick tock and crocodile. The Lost Boys make appearances throughout with some new names included, but readers will recognize a few specific names like Slightly and Curly. The twists on the beloved characters are fun and original, entirely enjoyable and harking back to the original story. Each of the Lost Boys has special powers which pair with their personalities. Curly has the most potent ability of persuasion and just by touching someone he can control them. Michael has the most tragic time as he struggles to fight what Hook has done to him through his technology based abilities. Hook remains the villain but instead of being a deadly pirate, he's a scientist obsessed with the Neverland experiments. Dr. Barrie is a fun mention, giving him a silent creator and protector role over the Lost Boys freed from Hook which is a delightful inclusion honoring the creator of Peter Pan. Romance is light throughout as Wendy deals with sleazy boys when the image of a boy she liked before her memory loss breaks apart after his true colors are shown. Her romance with Peter is highlighted when he comes back into her life, though she can't remember who he is. This doesn't stop his dedication or you from falling for their sweet and classic dynamic. Hahn has fun moments through significant dynamics between characters. Tink and Peter maintain their strong friendship while Tink has an adorable and funny banter with John, and Slightly and Curly go on their own adventure to find a doctor from the experiments who disappeared. Lost Boy is a tale of adventure, spinning a classic story into a modern fight against the villainous Hook and scientific experiments that allow a boy to fly.

I'm an adult reader who usually sticks to what I enjoy most, horror and fiction. King, Rollins, Koontz, Lincoln, Child to name a few. But when I need a break from the ugly, I seek out Ms Hahn. She weaves such imagination into her tales. Absolutely love her characters and her story lines suck you in. Love all her books and if I had one complaint it's having to wait so long for another. Great job! Can hardly wait for the next series.

Lost Boy is absolutely amazing! The story is fascinating because it’s classic Peter Pan with a new and exciting twist. Chanda has a way of making me fall in love with most of her characters while greatly disliking the rest. I feel like there is no in between with her. I either love them or hate them. The sequel picks up a few weeks after Lost Girl ended when Wendy panned and Peter chose to take her back to her parents. Wendy has to learn everything all over again including her love for Peter. I find it fascinating how strong Wendy gets in this one. She spends so much time finding out who she is and how her power fits into her story. The twists and turns keeps it interesting and exciting. The ending came too soon and I already can’t wait until the third book comes out. I love it so much I highly recommend Lost Boy to any and everyone.

Lost Boy is the 2nd book of The Neverwood Chronicles and a must read from start to finish. I read the Lost Girl and was blown away and I wasn't disappointed in Lost Boy, as it to is a must read also. The story continues with Peter and Wendy, but now we have more of Hook coming to make things a bit more interesting to say the least. Neverwood is a place where Peter, lost boys and Tink fled to after leaving Neverland. Now Neverwood is in danger and everyone who resides as Hook wants the boys back. Wendy's powers have become an asset to her and I love how she adapts to learning how to deal with everything from the past to the present. Peter will do anything for Wendy, but now Neverwood is at risk. Does his love for her put them in danger of being returned to Neverland. No spoilers here as this is too good to give away and wait until you get to the end if will blow you away.... Chanda Hahn does a fantastic job of weaving this classic tale into to something new and exciting. Come and enjoy the ride as it not one that will be forgotten and you will crave more. I highly recommend this series for all ages. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. Series: The Neverwood Chronicles Book 2 need to read book 1 to get the whole experience. Characters: Very balanced, intriguing and engages the reader. Writing: Smooth, developed and well paced. Storyline: A unique twist of the classic tale of Peter Pan. 5 Koala Paws
