So much to love in this book and in this series. Love on the Run If you are an avid reader of Zoe York you will be so happy with this new addition. If you are new to her work, first of all where have you been??? and second of all start reading! You don’t need to read the previous books in the series, this is a standalone, but you really should…..they are all really good!!!! This addition to the series is the story of Dean, a cop, moving on to a new job in security, and Liana a singer who needs security during her tour. Match made in heaven, well in the end yes, and the journey is one excellent ride. They meet in Pine Harbor for those of you who do not know this town yet, well you will want to move there, trust me) Laina is in between shows, laying low at a friend’s home and there she meets Dean, the aforementioned cop / security man. After spending time together and after a series of events, Deans becomes her body guard during the next stages of her tour Their courtship, is sweet, builds nicely and of course with a lot of heat. Dean’s inner dialogue had me laughing out loud. (when they jog…. we can turn around any time now!!!! And this from the super fit Dean!!! ) so cute! But then there are the sad moments, when he compares himself to Jake, Rafe, Zander and Ryan, he broke my heart. And of course there are the sexy moments, their chemistry is pretty powerful! And the sweet moments when he brings her home, AH!!!! So much to love in this book and in this series.

Oh wow! There really no words to describe how much I loved this book. It is an absolute must read! I loved Dean and Liana so much and the anxiety she suffers is something I can really relate too. PS if your a SPN fan keep an eye out for subtle little easter eggs... ;)

Loving this series by Zoe York! Dean Foster has been in the military and a law enforcement officer for 20 years, but his first private security job for country music artist Liana Hansen has him a little hot and bothered. Their attraction for each other is running hot and because Liana is Dean's client he doesn't want to cross the line, but each day being in close quarters and shadowing her every step the line is becoming muddy. I'm definitely looking forward to more stories in this series! I was given an ARC for an honest review. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

This is book 5 in the Pine Harbour series. Dean finds himself acting as bodyguard to Liana. But can he protect her when she is keeping secrets? The attraction between these two is amazing, and Dean is finding it rather difficult to be hands off. I really enjoyed this book as I have all of the series. Highly recommend.

I received an ARC in exchange for a honest review. Dean, an ex-Army man, has just started his new job as a bodyguard. He's been on the job, not even 24hrs, when he's asked to be the bodyguard for Liana. Liana, a country music star, has recently started having panic attacks while on tour. Her ex is making her life extremely difficult as he's one of the people in charge of which songs of Liana's are produced. He makes snide comments and hovers around putting her on edge, hence the panic attacks. Hope, Liana's best friend, convinces her to accept help and allow a bodyguard to accompany her for the rest of her tour. Dean, the oldest of several brothers, decides it's time to live his life. For years, he's helped raise his brothers and decides it's time to do what he wants to do. He quits his job as an officer and opens a security business with a friend. His first case is Liana, country music star and the most beautiful woman he's ever laid eyes on. He's sooo screwed! Lol. While Dean's not fond of country music and has lots of preconceived notions about Liana and life on tour, he ultimately decides to take the case. While on tour, Liana exposes Dean to "life on the road" and social media. During one of her live feeds, her fans see Dean's arm and even dub him #armguy. Dean also sees, first hand, what a snake Liana's ex is. He realizes that the songs Liana wants to sing and produce, aren't the ones her ex thinks will sell. Dean quickly realizes how much control a record label's producers have and they don't necessarily have checks and balances against someone who's bent on vengeance. The situation has gotten so bad that Liana no longer enjoys performing on stage in front of large crowds as she's afraid someone in the audience won't like her songs, hence the increasing panic attacks. Dean ultimately decides Liana needs professional help and sets her up to see a therapist. With Dean's support and love, Liana decides life on the road is not for her--for now. With Liana's ex finally out of the way, Liana decides to take some time off and concentrate on writing. Liana and Dean's story does end with a HEA! It is #5 in a series, but can be read as a stand alone. I have not yet read this series, but did not feel as though I missed a lot of the "back story". I thought this novel would have a little more suspense, but I truly enjoyed reading it. I can't wait for the next novel to see how Dean's little brother deals with his war injury!

I love bodyguard romances, so I was excited when I heard that Zoe York's latest Pine Harbour series book (each of which can be read as a standalone) would have a bodyguard theme. It's Dean's turn now, and this time he's partnered up with Liana. Liana is a country music superstar and her best friend Hope is now living in Pine Harbour, engaged to Dean's younger brother Ryan. Lately, Liana has been more and more stressed while on the road touring and having to deal with her ex, Track, (also her boss) so Hope hires Dean to be Liana's bodyguard for the rest of the tour. Dean feels a protective instinct towards Liana from their first meeting, and an attraction that is equally returned. As they work together and become closer, Dean realizes it's going to be very hard to go back to Pine Harbour without Liana. When her tour is finished and his job officially comes to a close, will they find a way to make things work and get their happy ever after? This story is a little different in that while the previous stories in the series have been set in Pine Harbour, Liana's tour takes her across several cities and states. There is a tour list at the start of the story with the locations of Liana's concerts and I thought that was a cute touch for the reader. There are scenes on stage, backstage, on the tour bus, at VIP parties and in the recording studios that make the reader feel like they are coming along for Liana and Dean's ride and I really enjoyed that aspect of the story. Dean of course, is the quintessential hero. He's friendly, polite, caring, sweet and a genuine good guy. And he's a generous and sexy lover too so we get some steamy scenes with him and Liana. Dean feels some guilt about this (she is after all his client!) even though Liana is clear that she's not expecting anything more from him then what they have right now. But for Dean, his feelings for Liana and his responsibility to do his job start to intertwine until he can't picture his life without her. I really liked how Liana's character is portrayed as well. She has anxiety issues that are portrayed believably and written authentically, and I appreciated how she came to realize that seeking professional help would be to her benefit. At the same time she comes across as a genuinely loving and caring person who treats her band members and her fans well. She's a strong woman and sometimes being strong means knowing when to ask for help. She's also a very talented songwriter and singer, hard working and deserving of her fame even if she's realizing that she might want to make some changes in her career. In the end, Dean and Liana find the compromise they need to make their relationship a long term one and we get a sweet happy ending to their romance. It's a delightful read.

I did receive an ARC in exchange for an honest review... Sexy, unexpected, and empowering. When your world is caving in it's great to know you have a safe place to run to even if you are famous and well known. Liana Hansen put that to the test and her friend Hope proved that friendship runs deep even if she is falling apart and wont talk about why. Hope knows Liana cannot hide much longer but she wants her protected. She hires her a bodyguard since she doesn't know what the issue is. Will Liana accept the offer of help from Hope? Can the bodyguard keep her safe? Why did Liana run in the first place?

Zoe York has done it again! This book is another great story of the Pine Harbour series and I believe these books keep getting better and better. Dean and Liana are a couple that grow on you since they (at least at first sight) have nothing in common, he is an ex-cop (now security operative) and she is a country singer. However, he is so tender and comprehensive with her and yet so alpha, that is impossible not to fall in love with him. She is strong, talented and most of all a good person and is impossible to fall in love with her too! I read this book with my country playlist to get into the mood and enjoyed the ride. #armguy forever!

So happy to return to Pine Harbour! This is the fifth book in the series but each book reads as a standalone. Dean Foster is a former cop who is now working private security. His first job is to watch over Nashville superstar Liana Hansen. These two couldn't be more different but the spark between them is bright and fierce. He lives his life in the shadows making sure everyone he loves is safe. She lives her life in the light with tons of adoring fans and people pulling her in all directions. Together they can perhaps find the perfect balance for both of them to have it all. This story is wonderfully written and I adored these characters. This is one I highly recommend.

I fell in love with hero Dean Foster in the very first pages of Love on the Run. Zoe York is known for writing hero-centric, sexy stories and this one does not disappoint. Dean is the perfect temperament for hot-mess musician Liana. He joins her as his bodyguard but its quickly apparent he's so much more: part therapist, part bodyguard, 100% lover. Their relationship burns up the pages from the minute their eyes meet and by the time they get together, their relationship is explosive. Stolen moments in concert venues and shadowy corners heighten the intensity until they are able to find a moment alone. Dean's a protector in all aspects of his life, and that's why he's perfect for Liana. He quickly figures out how to read her moods and meet her needs, whether its for a protector, friend, or lover. I just love him. The author realistically depicts the life of a musician, at least as best as I would imagine, not being one myself, but the frenetic pace of life on the road comes through the words on the page. The interpersonal dynamic of Liana and her band and their differing personalities creates humorous and tense situations. But in the end, the intensity of Dean and Liana's relationship burns up the pages of Love on the Run. Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Love is like a free fall for the senses, it can't be controlled but is exhilarating non - the- less. Liana and Dean are the personification of a bad idea. She's famous and thrives on the spotlight. He's a loner more comfortable in the background. Liana's career is full of bright lights, big cities and attentive fans. Dean's always on alert and does his best work in the shadows. She's the client. He's her protector. Love On The Run is about stepping outside of one's comfort zone and trying something new. The irony is that sometimes the worse decisions, turn out to be the most rewarding experiences. Ms. York captured the shell shocked emotions of attraction and romance well.
