Sometime all you can do is start over, sometimes life doesn't give you any other choice. Paul is at a point in life where it's time to start over. The search for a new life leads him to a girl and a chance to be happy once more. All that joy is soon replaced with anger and a need for revenge. The dead are attacking the living and Paul is thrown into a new world where the dead soon outnumber the survivors. It's time to start over again but this time the only thing he cares about is destroying the undead and punishing those that destroyed the world he had come to love.

This book goes past the basic "zombie" novel and dives into the heart of what it is to lose what means the most to any man. Mr. Cotter's ability to make the character struggles relate-able while creating a very descriptive setting makes Love, Revenge & Zombies a must read for anybody whose ever wondered what it would be like to live in post apocalyptic world with nothing but a broken heart and the desire to make things right...with a few zombies running around. The character Paul carries all the appropriate traits that one would need to survive but also is as vulnerable as one would be given the circumstances that dictate his life. The idea of living with zombies and surviving is something that most would love to experience but having to do it with a broken heart in addition to the chaos that has consumed the world definitely changes ones perception. I definitely recommend this as a must read strictly based on the fact that this book explores the reality of loss and the struggles of overcoming those emotions both physically and mentally in a setting that doesn't allow you to take a second to recover. The zombies are a key component in this book but truly play second fiddle in what to me was a story of a man just trying to get bye when it would just be easier to give up and be victimized by his life's uncontrollable direction. I am keeping my fingers crossed and am hoping that this isn't the last I read about Paul!
