About the Author

Robin has been writing full time for more than three decades. In between keystrokes, he has done some other stuff, some novel related, some not (unless you count life's experiences as mind's keystrokes, which you should): Getting a degree. Ditto a pilot's licence. Learning to screenwrite. Working as a screenwriter. Learning four programming languages. Living in Greece, England, Australia, North America and Antarctica. Working as an editor on three continents. And as a glaciologist. Earlier, even working as a designer on a hydro-electric development project. Then a publicist. Winning two awards for editorial excellence. Lecturing on metrication. Living on two islands (not at the same time). Working as a web programmer, designer, author and developer. Getting married and having it (happily) stick. Sailing. Flying. Skiing. Sculling (the rowing, not the drinking, variety). Winning state titles (twice) in single sculls. Skippering bareboat charter yachts. Owning an airplane/aeroplane (circle your preference). Serving with volunteer marine rescue.
Looking back on all that, it's a wonder the author has had time to author. But then, a passion for something (like writing novels) has a way of finding that elusive eighth day of every week necessary.
