About the Author

Lovey Denise Scott, was born and raised in Los Angeles California, in the inner city of Watts. She had a strong passion for writing since elementary school, writing poems and short stories. Her grandmother was the sole motivator pushing her to heights that she never even dreamed of. By the time Scott was 12 years old she lost both grandparents who were considered her first mother and father, learning that life is not always the prettiest picture. Scott struggled to find herself, making tons of decisions about life that she had no idea what it was about. Growing up and learning the much needed lessons of life opened up her heart to make her journey a personal testimony to people of all ages. She strives to not only help to support the community, but she loves and cares for her family. Her brother Gene Heard Jr. is a key motivation for her to keep going strong.
