"A must-read for all Christians interested in inclusivity for their communities." --Publishers Weekly
Every day, millions of people lament the loss of civility, respect, and hope, and they wonder if it's possible to cultivate a love big enough to overthrow hate and heal our hurts. With courage, authenticity, and relevance, Jacqueline A. Bussie proclaims, "Yes! It's possible!" and urges readers to widen love's wingspan and to love as God loves--without limits or exceptions.
In Love Without Limits, Bussie imparts practical solutions for people of faith who yearn to love across division and difference in these troubled times. Through poignant personal memoir, engaging theological reflection, inspiring true stories of boundary-busting friendships, creative readings of scripture, and surprising shout-outs to some of love's unsung heroes, Bussie challenges readers to answer God's call to practice a love so deep, it subverts the social order; so radical, it scandalizes the powerful; so vast, it excludes no one.

What People are Saying About This
"If you believe, as I do, that love is the heart of Jesus' message and should be the point of the Christian life, then you'll be surprised to see how few books there are that aim specifically to help you become a better practitioner of love. And you'll be thrilled when a book like this comes along--super well-written, really inspiring and practical, deeply engaged with scripture, and joyfully celebrating the primacy of love." --Brian D. McLaren, author of The Great Spiritual Migration
"This is a book about love, but not just any love. It's about cosmic love, deep-faith love, break-down-walls love. Every page pulses with that same radical love. Read it and let the contents pour into you and make you better." --Eboo Patel, author of Acts of Faith
"I want to press this book into the hands of every Christian who has despaired of our faith being choked by narrow moralism, prejudice, nationalism, and all those who sought Jesus and were greeted by a door slammed in the face instead of a seat at his banquet table. I want to stock it in every church pew where I've heard something contrary to the love of Christ preached. Bussie's words reminded me of how vast and expansive Christ was (is)--and that Christian love shook the earth precisely because it extends to every single person without exception, even to me. Bussie's a gifted preacher with the voice of a friend who will grab you by the shoulders, look you in the eye, and say, no matter what your family of origin says, no matter what your church says, no matter what you say, you are beloved. Full stop." --Jessica Mesman Griffith, author of Love and Salt, curator of the online spiritual community Sick Pilgrim

This book spoke to my soul in a way I desperately needed in today's divided times. Jacqueline Bussie beautifully shares stories of hope, inclusivity and radical love, and ultimately inspires the reader to go out and do the same. Throughout the book I laughed, I cried, and my spirit was restored. The authenticity of this author and book are as limitless as the love they both share with the world. Read this book and you will feel loved and strive to better love all, no exceptions.
Anyone told you God's Love is limited? Been told you were unloved by God? Then READ this book! Love Without Limits is spunky and feisty! Sparkly and shiny! God’s Love for all people has taken hold of Jacqueline Bussie and you can feel it percolating its way through you as this book takes hold of your heart. You will laugh – and you will cry – I only use that cliche because it’s fantastically true! An exuberant concoction of personal story, sharp insight, and skillful exploration of Biblical texts, this book will open your eyes to a vision of God’s Love which is for all people – and I mean ALL people – people of every race, culture, gender, orientation, and even faith! Dropped by its original publisher because of the author’s refusal to be censored in sharing the breadth and depth of God’s Love (yep, that’s right, they wanted her to cut out the parts about God loving LGBTQ persons and those of the Islamic faith – it’s all in there) Fortress Press now has this bold book ready for you! If you liked Bussie’s earlier book, Outlaw Christian, you are in for a treat – this time she infuses her warm personal parables with theological acumen that hits a whole new level of sincere wisdom. I read through this book almost at one sitting and can’t wait for the 10 copies I have ordered to arrive so that I can start a book study in my faith community!
Jacqueline Bussie writes beautifully, sometimes heartbreakingly honest words in this masterpiece about inclusive and limitless love. In the midst of divisiveness and hatred, this book breathes life into people who yearn for something more, some kind of hope in knowing you and all others deserve the limitless love of God and everyone else. This is more than a book. It’s a meditation, a prayer, a letter, a guidebook to living in love and forgiveness where hatred and division seem most powerful. It's also so important to know that this book was censored by its original publisher, who asked Jacqueline to remove some of what she'd written about dear friends, simply because the publisher didn't agree with it. And she refused to change it. The silence the publisher wished to impose upon this book and the person writing it only proved its message true—a love without limits is offensive and dangerous to those who wish not to hear or believe it. Love Without Limits is courageous, hopeful, tragic, forgiving, and uplifting. It's a great comfort to know that in this broken world we can all try to love each other more fully in a way that offers hope to the hopeless and recognizes pain and suffering as we sit with one another in loving accompaniment––no matter who our "neighbor" in need might look like, believe, or love. This book and its author are beautiful, soulful, and honest, and I guarantee you will not soon forget Love Without Limits.
A read that will reshape your view of God's love and how you can live that love as well. Bussie brings the proverbial "it" in meaningful and profound ways. Well worth your purchase!
Tears of recognition and resolution, nods of insight, clarity of sight and delight in the author's vivid word pictures that inspire from the middle of trash heap. I can feel my heart and hope expand beyond what I thought were their capacity...THIS is the Big Bang...the ever-expanding embrace of life.
