About the Author

Fixing cellphones by day and writing books by night; Shawn A. Nichols Jr. Lives with his wife and young sons and enjoys meeting new characters every day.

This story originally started as a series of roleplay between the author and several friends. Shawn Nichols took these original sessions and continued to add to them and improve on the orginal story. After hitting highschool the story hit a series of revamps. This included the addition and rethinking of several characters. Originaly this reset the focus of the story on the character Hale O. Skyne and his conflicts with his other personality Hayloskien.
Later revision introduced the concept of the Voices of Chaos, a force of reality connecting alternates. This idea evolved in later revisions to actually show these alternates, then again as different choices and allow the perspectives of other characters to give a better understanding of the characters. Now the story focused on all the characters giving due importance.
After graduateing highschool, events occured that the author doesn't wish to be public. These events caused what the author summerizes as "Two years of walking" in which the author reevalueated things such as his own life and the meanings of his book. During this period the characters again went under redevelopment as the author came to see a "darker side" of the people several characters were based off of.
After this time Shawn Nichols entered Sierra Nevada Job Corp, which gave him new ideas and introduced people that provided more characters and material. While notated, this was thought of seldom as the book was again put on hold while the author spent time in the Carpentry Program there. From there he met his wife and started his family. Though he rethought a lot of the characters and concepts during this time, Shawn did not make any actual progress in the book.
After several years Shawn Began writing the book again from scratch, reinventing all of the characters and their timelines, allowing a more fluid experience of the characters time lines. It is from there the book was completed over the course of two years and editted, being published in 2013.
