About the Author

After living and working in NYC as a photographer and videographer for several artists including Joan Jonas, Richard Serra, and others, Nieman returned to Los Angeles in 1980. She remained there for the next fifteen years, working as an interior architect and designer. In 2005, she resumed her photographic career, and established a new home and studio in Oaxaca, Mexico, where she lived until returning to Los Angeles.
