About the Author

Deborah Coughlin has taught elementary school for more than ten years and currently teaches multiage K/1 at Gardendale Elementary Magnet School in Brevard County, Florida. She earned her Ph.D. in language, reading, and culture, and teaching and teacher education at the University of Arizona.
