Two human couples strive for normalcy, but little do they know, their lives are not their own-well, not entirely. An assigned Cementaurian Life Guide has assumed the role of puppeteer and is manipulating the humans' most every move. Miurtiese has a motive in mentally forcing her actions upon the four individuals. She is leading a quest to ensure numerous planets do not fall into evil hands. To achieve victory, she has placed Lander Kahn, Dray Demong, Cally O'Brien, and Avria Rausch on a predetermined path heading straight into the quest's future phases. They have a life and death destiny to fulfill, and it is Miurtiese who will guide them through the trials they face. As in life, physical and emotional hazards trap the humans on a frequent basis. Because of these pitfalls, relationships will suffer. Friendships will undergo dangerous tests. Love will sprout anew, only to have it torn away by the one person most trusted. Since evil influences of the two-legged kind and otherwise surround the four, Miurtiese must intervene when expected, and remain silent when necessary. On a constant basis, she must deal with the illogical idiosyncrasy of a human's free will, but it is only a challenge for her, not a deterrent. About the Author

SHERLYNN A. MUCKELROY, a born and raised Texan who now resides in Arizona, considers herself lucky to have a vivid imagination. She tried her hand at storytelling years ago, writing a children's book for her two young boys who have since grown up to be fine men. When the eldest son transplanted his family from Texas to Michigan, Sherlynn decided to take up the pen once again in order to remain in contact and stir her grandsons' creativity. After writing a few paragraphs with a science fiction plot, she would stop a sentence midstream and allow the children to complete the story line. Their participation in this endeavor faded, but that did not deter Sherlynn from continuing the story she had begun. After adding the element of romance, she completed the book, then initiated a sequel that eventually resulted in the birth of an entire Romance/Science Fiction series entitled, A Quest of the Ages.
In April of 2015, Sherlynn announced the publication of Prelude to a Quest, the prequel in the series, followed by Major Discoveries, the second book, two months later. With The Separation in the editing process now, Sherlynn hopes the readers find as much enjoyment reading her two available books, as she had living them in her head!
