I thought I would just high-light the most important parts of the book, but when I had finished reading the book, I realized, I had high-lighted the whole book. Therefore, it is not easy trying to write a review for this monumental study on how to use the media to revolutionize your business, or your brand. Therefore, I decided to take just a few diamonds from the book for your consideration, like; Engage or Fail means you must get people motivated to do something after seeing you, or you failed that opportunity. Getting Leverage means turning that 15 minutes of fame into a stepping-stone, and not just an end goal. Likes + Engagement means not only are the people with the most engagement, the most influential, but engagement equals advertising dollars to them. The Right Kind of Engagement means the most engagement comes from good communication between you and your audience or the people in your audience with each other. Calibration means having a community of loyal followers with a high level of engagement will promote your personal brand or products for you. Too Cool for School means you need your audience to help shape what you say and how you say it. They will help you find your voice and make subtle adjustments to it over the years to keep it fresh and in touch with the times. And obviously, there many more diamonds in this book to help you become a Rain Maker, I know it gave me a lot of new weapons to advance my career. From her “fab” front cover to the final sentence, “Make it Rain” is more like a hurricane that leaves you drenched with a phenomenal amount of knowledge on branding your business. Although Areva is a Harvard law school graduate, she is so humble and gracious in her delivery in this read. With the detail clarity she gives, it was easy to comprehend the procedures on how best to promote your business, as well as seeming attainable to do. When Areva is on the different networks, I, thoroughly, enjoy her expertise on the given topic. I also like how she handles some of the other guest when they become verbally combative. Areva responds with firmness and stands in her truth, while still maintaining professionalism. In the book, she shared how on one show that she and another guest got into a heated debate, and he called her Reva. Well, I’m no legal expert at all, but to me Areva ‘overruled’ his rudeness and made it quite clear that the name is… “Areva”! LOL… this was truly her Janet Jackson, “Ms. Jackson if you Nasty” moment and I love it!!! The valuable information between the folds of this book; Priceless, yet, cost less to your wallet to accomplish with profitable benefits and results. Thank you so much Areva! Make It Rain! Teaches readers to bring their A-Game. Areva Martin has clearly laid out the blue print on How to Use the Media to Revolutionize Your Business and Brand. Make It Rain, helps you to build a platform, not matter what level your are in your business plan. Make It Rain, has taught me how to increase my visibility and have motivated me to push harder and further into making business next level. The chapter III is priceless!!! Areva Martin clearly is a very empowered woman, teaching others to be empowered. Make it Rain has been a wonderful conversation between my college bound son and myself.
