About the Author

I grew up poor, used, and abused. I wasn’t always hungry but knew of many who were. Some of my classmates had no way to obtain a meal on a regular basis. The free meals provided at school were usually the only meal of the day for them. I felt a kinship with these poor and struggling families. This is why I love cafeteria-style food even now as an adult. My two sons prefer “better” and are always taking me to what they call “classier” places. Guess which style of restaurant I prefer!
Just a moment ago, my son and I were putting away the groceries, and he joked that I always bought way too much. I smiled, but I didn’t tell him how thrilled I was to have too much. I suppose I have gone from too little to too much. Guess which situation I like best!
