Before moving into higher education he spent several years in operations management and continues to have a successful consultancy practice. He has held previous appointments at Bath and Warwick Universities.

ALEX HILL is Principal Lecturer in the School of Business Strategy and Operations and a member of the Operations Research Group (ORG) at Kingston University, Kingston-upon-Thames, UK.
