After reading numerous books on marriage principles, this book covers the one aspect that many books do not mention. When you walked down that isle to vow to love, honor and cherish one another, who did you think you were making these vows to? Without having God in your marriage, you are missing out on what life can be. This book talks about how to approach this matter, and how to have a spiritually intimate relationship that takes your marriage to a higher level. :)

This book is great. It tells couples how build a lasting relationship. It tells why emotional intimacy and sexual intimacy was never intended to help a marriage last til death do you part, but helps you find out what does. I highly recommend this book to couples just starting out as well as couples that have been together for a while.

A good book advising couples of the necessity of spiritual bonding within marriage. The author provides many good ideas about how a couple can spiritually bond (prayer, open communication, Bible reading/study, joint participation in service, etc.), and writes it in a conversational way.The author speaks from his own experience, and does so perhaps a bit too much. Much fault can be found with his expressly Evangelical theology: salvation, work of the church, conceptualization of worship, etc. General principles in the book, however, are quite sound.

I believe that this was the best book for couples. I have given a copy to family and friends to read. I was involved with a Divorce Recovery class and I recommended the book to my group because most of them were going to marry again and I thought it would be a good start.

This book is a wonderful guide to many different aspects of the Christian Couple's Marriage. My Husband and I both found it helpful and are continually applying it to our marriage.

The title sounded so promising, but the book just did not deliver. The author did not stay on point, and did not deliver the solid spiritual guide that the title promised. Unfortunately, this book is nothing like Elizabeth George's 'A Woman After God's Own Heart', which was substantial, firmly rooted in scripture and inspiring.
