GJRA. I really enjoyed this romance with a HEA. Loved Will/Billy the best, all the characters were good. Smiled and cried a little bit. 247 pages. GJRA

Read the the blurb about the book. Take a chance and enjoy this author. Reminiscent of Julie Anne Long's contemporary romances.

Welcome back to Bliss, the most-married town in the US. For Lindsey, a divorce lawyer, not so much happiness for her. She doesn’t believe she can ever be happy especially after she let the man go that she truly loved many years ago at college. Much to her surprise, he shows up in town and she faces him again. Will is now country star Billy Brenton. The problem is that Lindsey can tell when people are good matches and she cannot see her own happiness. This story will make you laugh (I laughed out loud a couple of times with what I was visualizing as I read), make you sad, and then happy again. Love the romance and drama of this series. I bought the rest of the series after reading the first one. So glad I did.

This is a cute, light romance set in the town of Bliss, Illinois, that thrives on the wedding industry. Enjoyed all the characters except the quirky Kimmee, who was just too much with her strange dreams and saying things like, "mom"s gonna slice my fruitcake" and "pumplegunker!" Overall enjoyable read w/ the happy ending we all crave.

MATCHED by Jamie Farrell was a really fun book that I can highly recommend and that can be read as a stand-alone story. However it is a great follow up to Blissed, the first book in the series, which I also highly recommend. This series is set in a town called Bliss where the whole focus of the townfolk is about love and weddings. Sort of like a Santa's village idea, but all year round and about weddings and with cast a delightfully quirky characters whose antics will make you smile and that you can't help but love. Matched is a second chance love story featuring Lindsey Castellano, a daughter of Bliss, who lives in and works as a divorce lawyer in the next town over because there are no divorce lawyers in Bliss. Lindsey sees her mission as saving people from their mistakes so they can have a second chance to find true love. Will Truitt AKA Billy Brenton, first met Lindsey when she was still in college. They were both young, but he fell hard for the girl who made him believe his dreams could come true. Now he's a country music superstar and mostly due to the songs his "Angel" inspired. The ones she inspired when she broke his heart and even so, she's still the only woman he's ever loved. So when he finds himself in the town of Bliss as a favor to a friend and realizes the wedding he's there for is that of Lindsay's younger sister Natalie? He's more than ready to try for a second chance with his "Angel" and this time there will be no walking away. I listened to the audio version of this book. Which made this great story even better. The narrator did a fabulous job on the accents and attitude of the characters. 4 stars

A delightfully humorous second-chance-at-love romance conjoined with some fabulous swoon-worthy country songs! Jamie Farrell takes readers back to the quirky bridal-fixated town of Bliss, Illinois with MATCHED. Even though MATCHED is the second installment in her fun contemporary Misfit Brides series, it can easily be enjoyed as a stand-alone read, if that is your preference. However, be aware that the town of Bliss and its colorful residents were first introduced in BLISSED. That said, the whole series is a sizzling wild ride and I recommend savoring it in order, if you can. I listened to the audio edition of MATCHED with the fantastically talented Karen White narrating. Karen White is one of my all-time favorite narrators. Once again, Karen’s narration is really, truly wonderful. Her pacing is spot on. Her delivery is natural. I could listen to Karen all day and still be mesmerized. Her performances are always highly entertaining, polished and sublimely executed. I have discovered numerous new-to-me authors – including Jamie Farrell - thanks to Karen. MATCHED is the story of Lindsey Castellano, Natalie’s sister, and Will Truitt, aka southern country music superstar Billy Brenton. As a divorce attorney, Lindsey has not exactly had the welcome mat rolled out to her in the most wedding-obsessed place on Earth. The next novella, SMITTENED, actually occurs parallel to MATCHED. It is the story of Billy’s drummer, Mikey, and Dahlia, an ice cream parlor entrepreneur. I can tell you right now that you will want to pick-up SMITTENED with MATCHED as they work very well together! Fifteen years ago, Will and nineteen-year-old Lindsey met and fell madly in love on the ski slopes during spring break. Will was a janitor at the time with big dreams of being a famous country music star some day. However, Lindsey has a secret matchmaking gift and her gift said that she and Will were not a good match. When Will very publicly proclaimed his love to Lindsey, she broke his heart. Fast forward fifteen years to the wedding of the hero and heroine from the first book. As a favor to the groom’s sister, Billy has agreed to crash the wedding and sing a few songs. As Billy looks out over the crowd, the eyes of the woman he has not been able to forget meet his. Does she remember him? Jamie’s writing personifies Will’s and Lindsey’s fears, longings, pain and joy. Apart they are broken; together they are better versions of themselves. Without Lindsey, Billy’s music mojo has pretty much dried up. With Lindsey, the notes sing again. “She was the only one who made him hear music. The only one who made him feel home. The only one who wanted nothing more than for him to be plain, simple Will Truitt.” As with the first book, I found myself laughing-out loud often. I loved catching up with the Bliss townfolk including Natalie, CJ, Pepper and Kimmie; and a new canine character, Wrigley, solidified a claim on my heart. Jamie has written an intensely emotional tale with Southern sass. You certainly won’t want to miss the scoop on Lindsey’s smiley face panties. If you are looking for a delightfully humorous second-chance-at-love romance conjoined with some fabulous swoon-worthy country songs, check out Jamie Farrell’s MATCHED. AND don’t forget to pick up SMITTENED too! My full review is posted at Reading Between The Wines Book Club. Please check it out there!

Oh boy, where do I begin with this one? There are some books that just leave you a little speechless. Matched by Jamie Farrell is one of them for me. It is difficult to put into words why this one pulled at my emotions so much. I am so in love with this story. I don’t have anything obvious in common with the main characters, but their emotions and feelings reached out to me physically. Not just in my imagination. I felt the characters’ pain. Their heartache. Their yearning. But I also felt their joy. Will and Lindsey are the hero and heroine in Matched, the second book in the Misfit Brides Series. They met and fell in love one spring break many years before and now Will is back to see if Lindsey is still the one for him. Will is the country-singing southern boy who stole my heart from the beginning and never let it go. His southern charm and heart melting song lyrics were enough to want to push Lindsey out of the way and take him for myself. But, his heart only wants Lindsey. We met Lindsey in Blissed, as Natalie’s sister and the divorce lawyer who is not always welcome in the most married-est place on Earth – the town of Bliss. However, she is not the tough, baby-eating rebel lawyer that everyone sees and Will is the only one that can all her on it. She inspires him and his music but she is so lost she fights him and her feelings every step of the way. Will and Lindsey are both struggling with finding their true self and happiness. When they are together they are amazing. They believe in each other like no one else does and the love and respect they have for one another is so palpable. Being together makes them a better version of themselves. Their romance is an interesting one. Lindsey puts limits on it because she doesn’t want to get hurt. Will believes he can get past the line in the sand she draws. It is a wild ride for sure and never a dull moment with the two of them. Oh and the intimate scenes? Perfect. The balance between detail and imagination works great for these stories. I especially enjoy the steamy scene in which they are interrupted. One of the best things about a series is meeting up with old friends from past books and being introduced to new ones. In Matched we get more of Natalie, CJ, Pepper and Kimmie among others from Blissed. We meet Will’s family and let me tell you, I would love to see his sister Mari Belle go head to head with Marilyn (QG) and find out who wins. Farrell is so talented at adding little bits of quirkiness to each of the characters and it really brings them to life and makes them human. We all have quirks in our personalities. Matched is an incredibly emotional journey from beginning to end. I was constantly flipping pages and could not put it down. If you are looking for a contemporary romance that will inspire you through laughter and tears and a few country songs, give Matched a try.

Will "Billy" Breton and Lindsey Castellano met on Spring break when they were 19 years old. They had a week long fling that ended in broken hearts. Now fifteen years later they meet again at the wedding of Lindsey's sister. Will they get their second chance? I loved Will and Lindsey's story! It was full of humor and fun. Jamie Farrell does a great job of writing about the quirky town of Bliss. It was fun catching up with the town and I can't wait for Kimmie's story! I would definitely recommend this book.

As a reader, it is rare to see that spark of an author who makes me want to read everything she's written . Jamie has done that to me. In her newest book, Matched, we return to the most married-est town on Earth, Bliss, IL. Jamie has such a sense of humor and timeless contemporary writing about her, that she reminds me of Jennifer Crusie. Don't miss the first 2 books in the Misfit Brides of Bliss series, Blissed and Smitten.

When Lindsey and Will were 19, they met over spring break on a ski slope. Lyndsay wanted to become president and Will wanted to be a country singer. Their last night together, Will called Lindsey onstage and told her he loved her. Lindsey had a secret about her personal gift (not music) and broke Will's heart in front of everyone. Fifteen years later, Lindsey and Will meet up at Lindsey's sister's wedding. Lindsey is a successful divorce lawyer (giving people and love a 2nd chance) while eating babies for breakfast. Will is now known as Billy Brenton a world famous, Grammy winning superstar. Both are knocked off their feet when their worlds' collide, but Billy is the first to recover. Billy had lost his song writing muse, but when he saw Lindsey again, the music began to flow. Lindsey was determined to avoid Billy at all costs, because her gift showed a possible change in their compatibility, but Lindsey couldn't be sure. The usual Bliss characters return in this sequel. There are so many adorable sections when Kimmie (I can't wait for her story) talks about her sugar induced dreams to everyone. Nat and CJ return and CJ's sisters are more prominent in this story. And the resident mischief maker is always there sharing her good-will. I felt Lindsey's story was a bit choppy at the beginning, but smoothed out as I read more.

Jamie Farrell has given us a wonderful second chance love story with some humor thrown in that will have you falling in love with the characters that you won’t want to miss it. It’s been fifteen years since Lindsey broke Will’s heart. Now he’s back to crash a wedding not knowing he would run into the one person who has always had his heart. Realizing he’s still in love with the girl who inspired his music. Can they rekindle the love that hasn’t really been forgotten? I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This book in the Misfit Brides series is a reunion romance featuring Lindsey Castellano (outwardly tough divorce lawyer, with a soft heart and a gift for matchmaking) and Will Truitt (aka: Billy Brenton, country music star). I really loved Lindsey and Will and the many quirky characters. There's a lot of humor and a little bit of heartache, but I can't wait to return to the town of Bliss. The stories in this series seem to happen concurrently, so feel free to jump in the fun at any point.

I so loved this book. One of the big draws of this book is the humor and if you follow Jamie Farrell on Facebook you see her shine through her writing. There are quirky characters that are just so lovable and capture your heart. Will has lost his inspiration to write songs and his honorary aunt tells him he needs to go to Bliss. What he finds is Lindsey and the words just start flowing to songs. Lindsey has a gift that she tries to keep a secret from others. She can tell bad or good love matches, but the problem she can't tell them for herself. In the town surrounding weddings and love Lindsey being a divorce lawyer is a little disconcerting, but it means something different to her. This book is about second chances one of my favorite troupes. I really loved the scene at the Battle of the Boyfriends very fitting and perfect for Will and Lindsey. I can't tell you how much I'm anticipating Kimmie's story. I highly recommend giving a Jamie Farrell book a chance because you won't be disappointed.

Lindsey and Billy get their HEA......only after a long a windy road. Bliss is a crazy fun little town with all kinds of quirks. Fun light read like all of Ms Farrel's books. I love this series and cannot wait to read Kimmie's story. ******received and ARC in exchange for an honest review******

This is a sweet, fun story about second chances. The characters are likable and quirky, in a town that is all about love. Even though this is book two in the series, it can be read as a stand alone. However, once you've read one, you will want to read them all. Ms. Farrell does an excellent job of creating characters that are down to earth and "normal." I love her writing style. ARC received from the author in exchange for an honest review.

A second chance story always strikes a chord with me, because I live one! Jamie Farrell's classic, quirky storytelling makes this a can't miss book. Her characters are well written and easy to relate to, and her plot lines are a perfect mix of complexity and believability. MATCHED is the second chance story of Will and Lindsey; their first chance at love ended quickly and miserably. Years go by and their lives are vastly different, but when their paths cross, there's no denying that the spark is still there. If you love a hunky country boy and a sassy, strong leading lady, you will love MATCHED. And if you like your sweet romances with a little bit of heat and a lot of laughs, you can't go wrong with a Jamie Farrell book!
