Dan Gillmor has a deep background in media and journalism. A longtime newspaper columnist and author of We the Media: Grassroots Journalism by the People, for the People, Dan has been a founder, investor and advisor in new-media companies. He's currently director of the Knight Center for Digital Media Entrepreneurship at Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Dan is also a columnist for Salon.com, writing about technology and media.
