Membershift: Rethinking Church Membership
This book is for those who are already members of the Church as well as those who just got born-again, and want to become members of the Church. This is a must-read and I encourage every pastor to put a copy of this book in the hands of every new Christian coming to join the family. I have written specifically to help both new and old Christians understand what it means to be a member of the family of Christ.Just as we have with any other membership and loyalty programs, there are benefits for members of the church of Jesus. The difference here however, is that membership benefits for the church are of greater proportions and of eternal significance. As with many membership programs, there are of course requirements and expectations to be met. So also does the head of the Church have expectations of every member and has given us responsibilities that must be fulfilled in order to fully enjoy membership benefits. This book will help you understand these membership requirements and enjoy what is written in Psalms 36:8 that "they shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures".
