The greatest of gifts sometimes come at a high price. The hardest lessons sometimes bring the greatest rewards.
A powerful new Talent has been discovered in Laelika; one which has the potential to change the future in unimagined ways. But at what cost? As her powers quickly extend beyond even those of her Mentor, she discovers the wisdom of ages she has inherited with her Mempath Talent. But for Laelika, learning to navigate a new world full of emotions, especially those she discovers for Jonen, is the hardest lesson of all.
Amelika has her own plans for Laelika. She has waited a lifetime to find a Talent this strong; a Talent worthy of inheriting her role as Prime. She has no intention of allowing her Apprentice's youthful infatuation to jeopardise that future; a future which requires complete dedication to service. For the woman who has moulded the direction of the Clans for generations, understanding that the future is not always hers to command is perhaps an even harder lesson still.
After her orbits of being ostracised by others, will Laelika find acceptance at last? What future will she choose; to follow her Mentor's desires, or her own?
Mempath is the second book in the 'Talents of Terra' Fantasy series. Get your copy today and follow the story which began with Apprentice, Book 1.

About the Author

I grew up sailing dinghies on Port Phillip Bay in Melbourne (Australia), a hobby shared by my whole family. I’ve also had a passion for reading, writing and language in general since my earliest childhood days. My introduction to fantasy in my early teens was reading my sister’s bookshelf, strewn with novels by Anne McCaffrey and Frank Herbert. The dragons were (and still are) my favourite characters. My first (and until now unrealised) ambition was to become a published writer. These days I combine that passion with my love of being on the water; my partner and I call our 40ft catamaran home. We are mainly based in New Zealand but visit Melbourne each year to see family and friends. Winter usually sees us sailing north to the South Pacific islands, chasing the sun. Being a blue nomad gives me the time to write, and the lifestyle provides the headspace to live in the moment and cherish each adventure.

I love hearing from readers; you are the reason I write. So please get in touch by dropping me an email below or connecting with me on Facebook. I reply to every contact, but if we’re in the middle of an ocean crossing it might take me a week or two, until we’re back in wi-fi range.
