About the Author

Linda Falasco, LCSW, LICSW, is a licensed clinical social worker, therapist, consultant, and lecturer. She graduated from Temple University with a Master’s Degree in Social Work and has received extensive post-master’s training in suicide loss and prevention, child development, trauma, and bereavement. Linda maintains a private clinical practice in Newtown Square, PA, where she works with individuals, families, and couples
struggling with loss, grief, trauma, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders. She also has developed various trainings and has been a sought-after speaker for conferences on grief, trauma, suicide, and suicide loss. Since
losing her middle brother, Jeff, to suicide 29 years ago, Linda has poured herself into the field of suicide prevention and survivor support. Linda was the driving force behind bringing a chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to Philadelphia, becoming one of its first official board members in 1997. She also co-coordinated the first ever Survivors of Suicide (SOS) conference in Philadelphia in 2000 and
co-founded the Delaware County Suicide Awareness and Prevention Task Force in 2001. Additionally, Linda is the founder and coordinator of the Delaware County Annual Candlelight Vigil Remembering Those Lost to
