Jake Long loves his job as a homicide detective, that is, until he catches the case of his career. The one case he can't solve. There is a serial killer on the loose in his city, and Jake isn't going to rest until he is caught. Jake’'s wife, Sara, the daughter of a homicide detective, knows all too well what the job does to a family. When Sara finds out she is pregnant with Jake's child, she leaves him and moves closer to her sister. But what are these voices she keeps hearing? What are they trying to say? Sara is very confused. Then, her daughter Jenny wakes up with the same voices in her head. Jenny's gift is more advanced than hers, Jenny can see and hear dead people.
When Sara is murdered, Jake learns he has a daughter, and she hears voices of the dead. Can Jake overcome his doubts about his daughter'’s gift? Can he accept Jenny's help with the one case he couldn't solve?
