I absolutely loved this ending to an amazing story. I was so happy to see that there was more to the story of Jake & Abby. I can totally relate to this story. My husband and I tryed to get pregnant for 15 years. I suffered from infertility. I had to have surgery 9 times, used fertility drugs, insemination 4 times and nothing. All the while watching everyone around us getting pregnant with ease. So we decided to try adoption only to have the birth mother change her mind three days after the birth. That was the last straw for me. Then a few years later I got pregnant only to find out it was an eptopic pregnancy and we lost it. Anyway we've been married for 27 years with no kids but alot of nieces and nephews to spoil rotten. Oh and our three dogs. Lol. So at times this story tore me up because I felt Abby's pain. Thank You Katie for a perfect ending to an amazing story. Oh an I loved the names.

Oh me oh my! What a gorgeous follow up to Jake and Abby's story! Do not let this "novella" fool you. For less than 200 pages, Katie packs it full with LOTS of amazing-ness! I am rarely satisfied with novella lengths because it usually always leaves me wanting more but I can honestly say, this ending made me happy <3 Was so happy to not only read about their future together but read more about the other band mates (especially AJ and Mia)! This is an absolute MUST READ for all of your Runaway Train fans!!

First, I’ll start out by saying that if you haven’t read Music of the Heart. STOP. Right no. Go read it. Then come back here and to Music of the Soul. This is a continuation of Jake and Abby’s story. In Music of the Heart, they experienced so many ups and downs. Now, they are ready to take the next step in their relationship – marriage. I loved spending more time delving into the next phase of Jake and Abby’s story. It was sexy, sweet, romantic, and even a little heartbreaking at moments. There was the perfect mix of hot and steamy moments along with the moments of real-life issues faced as Jake and Abby take the leap into marriage and beyond. Katie Ashley also brings to the story the rest of the Runaway Train family, giving updates into what their lives entail now. These were so smoothly interwoven into the story and added depth without overwhelming. I loved catching up with everyone and seeing the continued camaraderie and love that the band members and their families have for one another! Music of the Soul had me laughing and crying and swooning and, once or twice, I even wanted to smack Jake upside the head (nothing new!). But in the end, this is a beautiful addition to Jake and Abby’s love story. I’m so happy to have experienced it! Katie Ashley incorporated such a full story in the span of a novella and I felt like I lived through so much more! This is a must-read for Music of the Heart and Runaway Train fans. There’s more than meets the eye on this one!

WOW WOW WOW – Katie Ashley has done it again! Music of the Soul brings us back to the beautiful love story of Abby Renard and Jake Slater, which began in Music of the Heart! What I love about Katie’s books is she not only tells a beautiful love story, but she delves into the emotions of her characters. In the beginning of the book right before Abby and Jake are married, Jake visits his mother’s grave. This is such an emotional scene which you know Katie wrote from her heart and from personal experience. No one could write so emotionally without personal experience. You will find yourself crying, laughing, frustrated and so extremely happy to see this love story end so beautiful! I have read all of Katie Ashley’s books and have NEVER been disappointed. If you are reading reviews and are trying to decide if this is a book for you, let me assure you it is! This series has been one of the best I have ever read. Although all books are linked together, you can, if you choose, read this book as a standalone, but you will be missing a wonderful series that links each main couple in each book together as a close knit family. The reading order for this series is 1) Music of the Heart; 2) Beat of the Heart; and 3) Music of the Soul.
