About the Author

Helga KcKee is a co-author of the book, Prisoner of Peace - Hans Gussmann, her father's autobiography, and was the language translator of the manuscripts from his diary.

She has been a speaker many times of her own story, and after much encouragement is excited to share her own story in print.

She was born in Nuremberg, Germany and also resided in France during her early years and speaks both languages fluently. In 1956 she immigrated to the United States and has lived in Tennessee to this day.

She lives on a small rural farm with her husband, Willie, a musician and retired business man and their 6 donkeys. Helga has three sons, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She loves writing, dancing, spending time with family and friends, travelling and working out at the gym.
