Chapter One
MY Gramma doesn't knit. She hangs yarn in her trees for the birds to use in building their nests.
MY Gramma doesn't have a little cat. She has a big dog to protect her.
MY Gramma doesn't have a rocking chair. She has a 4-wheeler and she takes me for rides.
MY Gramma doesn't wear fluffy slippers. She wears hiking boots and takes me on long walks in the woods. MY Gramma doesn't use a cane to help her walk. She uses a cane to chase the crows out of her corn patch.
MY Gramma doesn't make fancy, little cookies. She cooks hot dogs and other good things over a campfire.
MY Gramma doesn't have someone curl her hair. She curls her own hair and sometimes it's a new color.
MY Gramma doesn't have a sewing basket. She has a tool box and we make forts and other neat things.
I would love my Gramma if she knitted mittens for me or if she made fancy cookies. I would love her if she used her cane to help her walk or if she wore fluffy slippers but ...
I love MY Gramma just the way she is!
