My Kinda Kissesby Lacey Black
- LendMe LendMe™ Learn More
Life never goes as planned. Jaime Summer learned that lesson the hard way when her fiancé wreaked havoc on her carefully constructed life plan. Now, Jaime's back in her hometown, working at her sister's flower shop and living with her family once again, swearing off dating and men for the rest of her life. That is, until Ryan Elson walks through the door.
Ryan has been in Jupiter Bay for a year now, and has worked hard to make this new town his home. His construction business is growing and while his personal relationships with the fairer sex are lacking, he's more content than he's ever been. He doesn't need a woman, but a chance meeting with Jaime has Ryan ready to pull out all the stops to have her.
Exhilarating. Intoxicating. Consuming. Ravenous. Passionate. What happens when those kisses lead towards something more? Something that looks a lot like forever.
*This book is intended for those 18 and over due to graphic language, descriptive sex, and the world's most inappropriate grandparents.

Wasn't exciting. Just ok. Definately not an erotic romance if that is what you are looking for.
Lacey Blacks' latest MUST READ!!! This book, My Kinda Kisses, the first in the Summer Sisters series is the latest MUST READ from the incredibly talented Lacey Black! I have read (and LOVED) everything Lacey has written...from the Rivers Edge series to the Bound Together Duet to Music Notes but let me tell you, THIS is my favorite so far!!! Jaime Summer returns to Jupiter Bay (and her family) after her scum-bag ex-fiance dumps her the week before the wedding! She starts working with her older sister Payton in her flower shop when in walks Ryan Elson (AKA Sex-on-a-stick)...the insanely hot construction worker who instantly decides he needs to get to know her better! Jaime wants nothing to do with him (at least, that's what she tells herself), when Ryan keeps coming in to the shop to get flowers for "a friend", he finally breaks through and gets a date with Jaime....let me just say that this date starts with Jaime's Grandparents, goes on to a run-in with Ryan's ex (Sara, the skank) and ends with THE most incredible kiss!! And about those Grandparents!!!! All I'm going to say about THEM is....OMG, I have NEVER laughed so hard in all my life while reading a book as I did when reading the totally hilarious, totally inappropriate things that come out of the mouths of these two!! I mean side-splitting, tears-rolling kind of laughter!! You'll have to read it to find out what I'm talking about....trust me, you WANT to read this book!! I can't wait to find out what they get up to in the next book in the series!
I laughed so much so hard so loud I couldn't help myself. This is a MUST read.
Jaime Summer has returned home to rebuild her life after being destroyed by her fiancee a week before the wedding. Vowing to find herself and to do it without a man is the first thing on her priority list. Having the hot contractor show up at her sister's floral shop and wreck those plans, definitely not on any list. Ryan Elson almost has more than he can handle with his booming construction business. Arriving in Jupiter Bay with his now ex-girlfriend, Ryan has found his home. He never expected to find the beauty working for the florist and now she's all he can think about. I loved this book and found it difficult to put down. The conversations between Jaime and Ryan were both sarcastic and honest but the conversations with Jaime's grandparents were laugh-out-loud funny. Even though, Jaime wears the scars of her failed engagement, she forces herself to move forward. I loved her determination and the relationship with her family. Ryan is so charismatic it's hard not to love him His protectiveness of Jaime is amazing. I have read all of this author's works and loved them all. She is one of my go-to authors and one I highly recommend. I am anxiously looking forward to the next book in this series.
My Kinda Kisses is the first book in a new series, Summer Sisters, by Lacey Black. I get all giddy when I know Lacey has a new book coming out. I know I'm going to get top notch writing, a sexy and funny storyline and a few surprises! I'm especially excited for this series, knowing how many sisters there are and how many books we're going to get to enjoy! Jaime Summer has always been a planner. A maker of lists. She had her life planned out, marriage, kids, house, dog, you name it, it was on the list. Until her finance changes all her plans. Now Jaime is back home, living with her father and grandparents and working in her sister's flower shop. It's not a long term goal, but she needs to do something. She's in desperate need of making a list, but she has no idea what to put on it other than finding a job, saving money and no more dating, ever. One day a sexy stranger waltzes in to buy flowers. She's literally struck stupid. He's the most gorgeous thing she's ever seen. All ruggedly handsome with deep brown eyes and a sexy smile. She's never been that attracted to a man before in her life. And what does he do? He buys flowers for another woman! Ryan has met the owner of Blossoms and Blooms before and this is definitely not her. He's never seen this stunning, sexy woman before, but he's going to see her again. He senses her defiance and standoffish attitude so he knows he has his work cut out for him. He's going to keep coming around until her can convince her to go out with him. It's a small town and he's going to find out everything he can about the beautiful stranger. Jaime can't stop thinking about Ryan. His eyes, his hair, his tree trunk thighs. She's so consumed with thoughts that she forgets to make a list! She finds herself agreeing to go out with him and she feels like a teenager on prom night when he comes to pick her up. At her childhood home which she shares with her dad and very inappropriate grandparents. Their sexual tension and energy is off the charts, but when they kiss…it's fireworks. It's new and different and intoxicating. She wants more. He wants more. Even though they are both fresh out of relationships, they can't stay away from each other. Ryan knows she's skittish so he's going to take it as slow as he can so he doesn't scare her off. He's not letting this one get away. When their all-consuming kisses lead to so much more, Jaime can't deny her feelings. Can she forget her past and let herself have a future with Ryan? I loved this story! I laughed, cried, got hot and bothered and laughed a lot more. Her grandparents? Oh my. So bad, but so funny! I was blushing for them! The bond the sisters have is envious and lovely. They are each other's best friends, confidants, cheer leaders and speakers of the truth. What more can you ask for in a love story? Sexy, funny, leading man. Beautiful, smart, heroine. Family and friends who are always there for you. Just perfect. He’s a deadly combination of authority and sexuality. The kiss isn’t soft; it’s fierce. Uncontainable. Driven. Like he has one job to do and that is to evoke the most pleasure as he can from this one act; a kiss to set the standard for any and all future kisses. “Jaime, I want you. I want you more than any man has ever wanted a woman. I want to take you to bed more than I want my next f breath of air.” Ryan’s teeth gently nip at my kiss-swollen lips, drawing me further into his spellbinding gaze. “Please say you feel the same way.”
