Banished from her father's house for her refusal to marry the vile Henry Vernham, the Notorious Chasity Ware goes in disguise as "Charles" and kidnaps Lord Cyn Malloreen in an attempt to aid her sister, Verity escape the evil clutches of Henry Vernham and their father as well.Book started out slow for me but before the halfway point, I was engaged. A recommended adventure and of course romance.

One of the Mallorens I'd missed. This has the oft-used convention of the heroine disguising herself as a boy, but for a change, the hero doesn't buy it. And he's not angry with her about it. He's mostly curious. She and her widowed sister and infant nephew are on the run from their father, who's inexplicably demanding that the heroine marry her loathesome brother-in-law's equally loathesome brother and is prepared to go to any lengths to accomplish the fact, including beating and socially ruining her.

This was a very well-written and executed romance. I'm always searching for great authors and believe that Jo Beverly and her Malloren Series books are wonderful. This story is one of the funniest and compelling in the series. Read it for the adventure, intrigue, charm, sex, or drama. IF you are looking for a great book, pick this one up.

It was sooo romantic and it had humor in it. Cyn, the minute he's kidnapped know there was something odd about the young 'man', he soon realizes that he is actually a she! He is determined to save his damsel in distress from everyone and hopes to win her honor and love.!!!
