About the Author

Daniel A. Reed is an author, educator, speaker, as well as a full time high school counselor, who has worked with a multitude of students across the entire educational spectrum. He has taught classes at both the undergraduate and graduate level in general psychology, lifespan development, abnormal psychology, death and dying, counseling, human sexuality, theory of personality, and education, as well as co-created introduction to college life courses for two different institutions of higher education. In his current position he works with high school seniors who are getting ready to graduate and enter the "real world" after graduation, and has helped students collectively secure hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarship and grant money. Drawing on his experiences working in community mental health as a therapist, Daniel wrote, Living in the NOW: A Guide to Living a More Fulfilled Life, which focuses on helping people to relax and enjoy life more fully. He also has a blog, "Senior-itis" which is a resource for students and their parents to learn more and discuss issues related to the final year of school.
