Chapter One
Accept God's LoveWhen I think about the love of God I see the look upon His face And accept the fact that He died for me As I receive His amazing grace I used to wonder for the longest time If His presence would be enough But I learned to accept Him as a Word And that was more than enough The Word is God and God is love To us it is more than just talk If we believe in His sincerity It can also be seen in our walk Now I can see Him through His Word And I can hear His still-small voice As spiritual journey is a commitment On the road to a better choice I look to God for all the answers For He knows and does all things Sometimes I feel so comfortable I stand up and begin to sing I give all praises to the King Who loves and adores His reign And governs all those who are around Including those who are in pain God heals all aches and pains And comforts your inner soul He's there to make you laugh again And He's there to make you whole.
All Scripture Has A Purpose
All scripture has a purpose Created for you to self-expand Those words can be your strength As you try to understand The thought of those words Gives light unto us all It truly garners a second glance Upon receiving God's law My thoughts about God Often becomes a joyful praise That should heard around the world In a number of different ways I'd shout with joy all day Over the roofs and through the trees As I walk down the streets Just as loud as I please God surrounded me with love Then saved me with His grace I learned to worship His name And look up to see His face God lives within us all Through the words that we say To reach the unsaved Every hour of the day We are here for each other When we get on one accord Reading scriptures and praying As we serve the living Lord.
Alphabet Soup
The anointing comes from God himself As blessings come with His love With courage freely given to all And divinity showered from above Eternity for us remains the same While your faith comes as you pray God, the Father, will stand with you Providing hope in your life each day An Inheritance has been in place for you For the Joy that empowers you and me Whenever you knock on heaven's door His Love will fill you with glee The Mighty One, who is God Will provide a new outlook Obeying His Word will help your walk With the promises found in His book The quality of life that you possess today Will resurrect you, as well as me Serenity will help to humble us all And His truth will set us free Unity will bring us all together To bring victory from our past Wisdom comes from knowing God And exuberance will come at last God will accept us in our Youth With a zest to have it better But know that it's not too late to change As you get to the very last letter.
Am I My Brother's Keeper
One year ago I had a dream That lasted so, so long When I realized what had happened The shock didn't seem so wrong My mind was playing games with me While my life was standing still I had to tell some other person About the ways that it made me feel My dream became so real to me So I took the next day off The mirror image of who I was Really began to tick me off Somebody needs to talk to me Before I get in any deeper The question that comes up regularly Am I my brother's keeper? The things that haunted me in my past Always stopped me along the way I know I can't stop them by myself But help is on the way God is the tiller of the land And He will be there to see me through Prayer can get Him off his seat While He reaches down for you My aim and goal should be the same When I'm looking the other way I need to take a stand and say I am my brother's keeper today.
Answered Prayers
A lot of prayers get answered each day Breaking records beyond compare God will still answer one for you If you come to Him in prayer Make a decision to serve the Lord By becoming a steward today He will bless your family as well Each time He hears you pray Your situation is so unique to Him It's totally yours alone He sees your need and feels your pain And hears each and every groan Don't be afraid to call on Jesus He is waiting to hear His name He's ready to bless you like no other And you will never be the same Come to Jesus for a Word So He can heal and comfort you His Word has come to heal the land And His Word can heal you, too If you find a way to humble yourself He will teach you how to pray Step forward in your walk with Him To hear from Him each day.
Appointed Time
When it be your appointed time For the spirit to wake you up And anoint you with the Spirit of God In order to fill your cup God has chosen to bless you now In spite of where you've been Because He knows who you really are And He knows what you have within He placed someone new in your life For an appointed time for you So that you could see another side That can help and see you through Stop and take time for yourself Journal what is revealed to you Try to understand the plan of God That He especially made for you He will talk through other people Whether they are fresh or new He could use a frog to croak real loud Just to change the things you do What God does, no man can do As other spirits can make you fall They do it time and time again To keep you from hearing God's call Now is time for you to decide If the Spirit should wake you up In order for God to bless you again You will have to bring you cup.
Ask For God's Help
If you're struggling with certain things God will help you to understand Why you have these feelings So that He can lend a hand Jesus said for us to come to Him Those who labor and are in distress Then He will give you so much rest So that you can give your best Take my yoke and learn from me For I am gentle and lowly in heart I'll give you rest for your needy soul Just continue to do your part Don't be conformed to this routine world Be transformed from your natural mind Why just drift through life for yourself When you can change for all mankind When you tired of the same mistakes Only then, your life can change Get on your knees and ask for help And wait for God to help you change If you long for a spiritual fulfillment Then God wants to help you out Just return to take your place at home To see what it's all about He's waiting for you to take the step To start your life right away Now is the time to receive God's help To reclaim your life today.
At Any Moment
The Lord can come at any moment To help us to begin He brings His Word down to the earth To wipe away our sins He said a prayer heard around the world As everyone is seen falling down The power of the anointing rings high above Every soul that is still around Come under the authority of Jesus Christ If you know what is good for you Your works doesn't mean a thing to Him When you do what you're supposed to do A true Christian knows to talk to Him And spend time in His face Studying to make thyself approved While on course to run your race I can think of several ways To glorify and praise His name That allows me to serve the Lord And acknowledge whenever He came He could come at any moment And He can appear as anything I've got to be ready at any case When I hear the angels sing.
Beacon Of Hope
When you count on ways down here That can pressure you into sin It might lead to a dead end But God can bring you back again One moment it is done your way Before you see God's light To give you a beacon of hope And a ray of faith by night I'm known to question my integrity Just before I every move I make All the answers are in the Word That I need before each mistake As I surrender unto the Lord In search of the Promised Land There might be a beacon of hope for me As I try to take a stand There was a path of light for me To see where I should go My life was clearly inconsistent Sometimes high and sometimes low Your Word has done so much for me Since I began to run this race I'm thankful for your abundance of mercy And for a measure of your grace You are truly my Father from heaven Who's around when I have to coped With all the things that are in my path I still have a beacon of hope.
Being Predictable
I don't want to sound predictable Or even hang on by a string Sometimes I can see a habit Where I do the same old things God knows what I can do And He's waiting just the same Waiting for me to finish playing All of those childish games With His Word inside of me I should believe before I see Whenever I call on the name of Jesus I can be what I choose to be Sing a song or pray a prayer Just stay in the face of God Praise Him every chance you get To let go of you selfish pride God wants me to pray each day To change my predictable ways I like to read and study His Word To claim salvation today Look to God before stepping on out He can give you what you need He planted the vineyard close at hand So He can water all of your seeds Trust God each and every day You can trust Him to the end Reach out and touch Him where you are Because He's your one true friend.

Bounce Back Love
Love is a gift from God That evolves through every season It will be there when you need it No matter what the reason The kind of love that people seek Has to last for a long time It should last throughout your struggles In order to give you peace of mind God has that type of love That will last through eternity It was designed to give you hope Because it is based on serenity God's love will comfort you Just as you kneel down to pray When you're determined to regain life His love will lead the way Instead of your daily struggles Where you have heartache and pain Get back up unto your feet And start all over again If you go without God's love That would be hurtful to your soul Because God knows what it takes To make your life whole AMEN.
Claim God's Love
I went to church on Sunday morning In search of my purpose in life I joined every workshop available to me At the discretion of my wife I often listened and talked to the Spirit As I waited for an answer each day But I didn't hear anything that I wanted So I got up to continue my day The Lord really works in mysterious ways But He does all of His work on time I need more patience to hear from God To live well into my prime The Lord made a commitment to all of us To love unconditionally He showers us all with many blessings Through His Word and spiritually I know the Lord has what's best for me That would make me a better man He has what it takes to lift me up As I look to touch His hand Each Sunday I listen carefully To receive a Word from the Lord I took some notes and clapped my hands Just to be on one accord Heaven is the goal that I have in mind As I work to prove my case God understands and waits for me While I'm running to finish the race I did what I needed to claim God's love As He taught me to obey Everything His Word had in mind for me As long as I stop and pray.
Come Out Of Yourself
There's plenty of time for you to do The work that God has to do through you With your heart, He loves through you And with your voice, He speaks through you We can find ourselves being occupied With studying His Word each day The Lord will see our obedience Then answer every time we pray The Word of God is what I need When everything else had conquered me I felt His presence all over me And His Holy Spirit protecting me I cannot receive with my hand down low I cannot believe with a wounded heart My inner glow will never shine And my newfound life will never start God is there when you look for Him His presence welcome through every door With an open heart, He'll come on in To change your life into something more Now is the time to accept the Lord With what the Lord has waiting in-store Remember that Jesus paid for your sins To give you a life where you can endure Come out of yourself and confess to Him Fall on your knees and look up to Him Praise the Lord for what's He has done And thank Him for His only Son.
Compare Me To Myself
I would look into the mirror To see whom I'm supposed to be But the answers did not come And it's really not hard to see I need to get out of my own way So I can do what I need to do While trying to be true to myself I really need to be true to you My talent is seen by others But they need to wait and see When I try to tell them something They won't even listen to me When I compare me to myself To see if I'm real or fake I'll ask the Lord for clarity For a measure of give or take If you take me for a grain of salt I'll give you a second chance To believe what I say or do And to assemble a victory dance Only God can wake you up From the dream you had last night And get you on your way So that you can get it right You can see it for yourself When you take the time to pray As God will give you a vision Before you decide to work today It's time to come out of the closet To find out what you can do You just need to believe in yourself And allow God to work through you.
