About the Author

It was Dana's grandfather who was the first eye witness to report a sighting of the legendary Honey Island Swamp Monster when he found tracks in the mud and made plaster paris castings. So, this story is based on the real legend and some of the real life experiences that Dana had growing up as the granddaughter to the local monster hunter.
