About the Author

Robert L. Dorman was born and raised in Oklahoma and has a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Oklahoma. He holds a master’s degree in library science from the Catholic University of America, Washington, D.C., and a doctorate in history from Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island. Dorman is the author of It Happened in Oklahoma: Remarkable Events That Shaped History (Globe Pequot Press, 2011). His most recent book is Hell of a Vision: Regionalism and the Modern American West, published in 2012 by the University of Arizona Press. He is currently Associate Professor of Library Science at Oklahoma City University.
