This book, based on the experiences and insights gained during the Horizon 2020 project proGIreg, offers a detailed overview of targeted nature-based solutions and their impacts on various key sustainability areas, guiding readers through the spatial analysis, co-design, and implementation processes of cities in Europe and Asia. About the Author

Silvia Barbero is an Associate Professor at the Department of Architecture and Design of Politecnico di Torino (Italy). She is an expert in systemic design, focusing on industrial innovation and territorial enhancement to promote environmental, social, and economic sustainability. Additionally, she actively contributes to academic research and education.

Axel Timpe is a landscape architect and Associate Professor at the Institute of Landscape Architecture at RWTH Aachen University. His research and teaching is focused on green infrastructure, urban agriculture, and nature-based solutions and their co-production with local communities. He has been the principal investigator of the proGIreg Innovation Action.
