The story of "Nick and You?" comes from a combination of life experience and of watching other families while in NICU. NICU is a scary place to find oneself, and is not ideal for anyone, but I'm sure there are special effects on the siblings of the children that are born and have to stay. Unanswered questions, worrying about parents, and not fully understanding what is going on could plague the mind of another small child. This book is to help those siblings at least realise that they are not alone. While all stories in real life may not turn out as wonderful as Pat's, I know that fear and pain, I sure pray that yours does.
