A little girl discovers the beauty in herself--and the beauty of the world around her--not by looking in the mirror but by looking in her Nana's eyes. Synthia Saint James's gloriously bright illustrations in this paperback edition show young readers how to see the beauty, and the accompanying CD of Sweet Honey In The Rock singing the song lets them hear it.

This is a delightful book and beautiful song (included on CD) about a child's view of the world thru her grandmothers eyes . It shows how a strong bond between a child and a nurturing adult can have such far reaching and lasting effects. The effects of this all important bond helps form the child's perspective, build self esteem, and adopt a positive attitude about life. What"s not to like?
My daughter bought me this book as a gift from she and my granddaughter. When she saw the book and read the contents she exclaimed she knew she had to get it for me! When I read the story and listened to the CD, I just cried.
