About the Author

USA Today bestseller author Kallypso Masters writes emotional, realistic Romance novels with an emphasis on healing using sometimes unconventional methods. Her alpha males are dominant and attracted to strong women who can bring them to their knees. Kally also has brought many readers to their knees-having them experience the stories along with her characters in the Rescue Me Saga. Kally knows that Happily Ever After takes maintenance, so her couples don't solve all their problems and disappear at "the end" of "their" novel, but will continue to work on real problems in their relationships in later books in the Saga.

Kally has been writing full-time since May 2011. She lives in rural Kentucky and has been married almost 33 years to the man who provided her own Happily Ever After. They have two adult children, one adorable grandson, and a rescued dog and cat.

Kally enjoys meeting readers. Check out the Appearances page on her web site ( to see if she'll be near you!

Kallypso Masters has a way of making every day problems that people face come to life in her writing. It comes to life in a way that helps you understand yourself and other people in your life going through some of the same issues her characters are going through.  And Nobody's Lost is no exception. Ryder's PTSD and Survivors guilt issues push him to seclude himself from the world. Until a family member, a Marine Family member needs his help. Ryder is forced to face and conquer his demons through the power of love, support and understanding from the very one he is sent to protect Megan Gallagher.   Megan made a tough decision at a young age that would affect her for the rest of her life. Her feelings of inadequacy push her to seclude herself and focus only on her career until the electric energy and love of Ryder Wilson broke her resolve.

Likes: Neither had all the answers. Or a job :)            Both were stubborn but willing to try.           Story wasn't bogged down by unnecessary word count.           Love that there's always more to come from each book!  Cover models matched description in book..

I love the characters. Kallypso Masters always comes through with well written, well thought out books. Bought it and was done with it within the same day.

This book was amazing! Kally has brought a peice of Native American culture to life in this book along with her love of kink. The story brought tears to my eyes and the nod to her fellow author was awesome. Thanks for the awesome read Kally.

I loved how this book was short sweet & to the point like a quick stepping stone to Book #6. As short as it was, it did NOT fall short on content or excitement. I'll always recommend these books to anyone who asks.

Not my favorite. Too dry. Not enough action. Did'nt seem too fit. No fire. Did'nt like characters.

A great story again. Didn't expect things to go the way they did at all! Great use of the Native American Heritage as part of the healing process. A must read book. The others in the series need to be read first to understand who the other mentioned characters are and their relationship to these characters.

This book is very well written. One thing in the book I have never read about, and I bet a lot of you have not read either. A very easy read.

I love this series/saga. I understand that KM underwent a great deal before and while wiring this. a master of fact, I have to wonder if the pain meds had something to do with this mess. I won't add any spoilers, just the fact that I found almost every part of this story hard to swallow. From the characters themselves to the plot line and events and even the circumstances of their every stage in the romance. all felt forced, poorly plotted, and cheesier than melted Velveeta dip. I barely made it through, which was a first for me as a Rescue Me reader. Adam is probably my favorite character in any kink series, so I had higher hopes for his sister's tale.

Ryder and Megan's story was great! I was drawn in from the first page. I wasn't able to put it down. When Megan has a little scare big brother Adam sends in reinforcements. And man oh man is he a site. Ryder Wilson has been off radar for awhile but when Top *Adam* calls him out of the blue needing him to watch over his sister, he can't refuse. Can he protect Megan from whatever is going on? And can he keep her safe from himself? Loved this book! Kally you are awesome! And I can't wait for book 6!

Ryder Wilson has been deployed multiple times serving his country, but he can’t seem to get his days in combat out of his head. He is ashamed of some of his actions while deployed, he wishes he could fix his mistakes but know that he can’t. As far as he is concerned lives were lost and it was his fault. Frustrated at his inability to function in the civilian world and live a nice life like some of his veteran brothers, he becomes a recluse choosing to hide rather than face the worlds judgements. One night he gets a call from retired Master Sergeant Adam Montague “Top”. He has a mission for Ryder, protect his sister from an unknown danger. Knowing he can’t say no to a direct order from his commanding office Ryder heads out to fulfill his mission. With the fear of failure at the forefront of his mind, can he complete his mission without getting anyone killed this time, or will he fail again? Megan Gallagher is blessed with two big-brother Marines who are crazy over protective and pretty much drive her nuts. But she loves them more than anything, even though they have yet to realize she’s tougher than they give her credit for. When there is a break-in late at night her older brother sends Ryder a former Marine to check things out. It doesn’t take Megan long to realize Ryder is the one who needs rescuing. They quickly form a friendship, but a surprising attraction burns bright between them, making it hard to stick to her no relationships mantra. To bad her body seems to want to ignore her brain every time he’s within her vicinity. Can two wounded people save each other and allow themselves the love a of a lifetime? My review: I am a huge fan of the Rescue Me Saga books, so when I heard there would be a novella while we wait for Nobody’s Dream I squealed with delight. At the time this book was published I was going through a really tough experience myself. My older sister lost her battle with breast and ovarian cancer, so I was feeling lost myself. When I was able to sit down and delve into this wonderful addition to the Rescue Me Saga I was relieved to get lost in a world of passion, emotion and deep human connection. Kallypso Masters is a fantastic writer and I adore her work. Every couple in her stories have their own individual issues that the author takes time to address. Though this book moved a bit quickly from first meeting to falling in love the characters acknowledge that fact stating more than once how they barely know each other. But I can honestly say I felt an immediate connection with my husband on our first date so if its love its love and you know it. Ryder and Megan were a great team once Ryder let her in. The sexual tension was hot and once they got to it the sex scenes were amazing. I really enjoyed the BDSM element to the story as well. The scenes were well written and well thought out as I can only expect from the Ms. Masters. One of my favorite things about this book was that the author lets us know that Megan and Ryder’s story is not over they have a lot to learn about each other and we can expect to read more about them in later installments. What makes for a lasting relationship is the willingness to want to know everything there is to know about one another. Ryder and Megan are perfect for each other, though each reveal their own issues and insecurities they will work together to make their relationship work.  Even if you have not read the other books in the saga you can read this one and not be lost but I highly recommend the entire series. If you are looking for reading material that is real and has great emotion with characters that have substance pick up the entire Rescue Me Saga and spend some time getting to know a great group of guys and their gals.

Ryder Wilson is asked to watch over his old Master Sargent, Adam Montague's sister after the condo she is staying at is broken into. After multiple deployments, Ryder isn't sure he is up to the mission but he will do anything for his Master Sargent. When Adam tells Megan that he is sending someone to protect her she doesn't expect to fall for Ryder. What Ryder doesn't expect is how Megan makes him feel and want out of life

Always looking forward to her next novel. The men are the best. When Kally tells a story , I always feel as if I'm part of it.

Love, love, love this series! Ryder and Megan need each other more then either could possibly know. I was hooked on this story from the first word to the last. I can't wait for the next installment of the Rescue me saga!

Kallypso Masters has done it again. OMG, this story is just so heart-breakingly beautiful!!!! Ryder & Megan may just have taken over as my favorite Rescue Me couple. Ryder is so very broken from his service to his country & it just broke my heart. Megan is so strong & such a wonderful character, even with all of the pain she has inside. Megan is Adam's half-sister & Adam happens to call while the police are at her house & sends in Ryder to make sure she is safe until their other brother returns home. Ryder doesn't want to go babysit his Master Sergeant's sister in the city. He just wants to be left alone to try to get through each day. He carries a lot of baggage from his years in the service & every day is its own trial of survival. But he can't say no to Top, can't let him down again. Megan & Ryder’s story is so very touching. I cannot wait for Kallypso’s next book!!!! Each & every one of Kally’s books has been wonderful beyond belief but this one, I don’t know why, but it just took over my heart & it won’t let go!!!! Such a book hangover…

Another great story by Kallypso Masters. In her usual wonderful and amazing way she has wove a story that shows the depth of her characters and great story weaving. The book lets you have a glimpse into some of her beloved characters from the other books while still being able to read as a stand alone if you have not had the great fortune to already be hooked on the Rescue Me Saga's. Megan and Ryder are two more great characters and I love how Kallypso makes you love and really empathize with all facets of their personalities, always such amazing character and story development. As always I cannot wait for the next book!!!!!

Love this story. Set in the Rescue Me universe it CAN be read as a standalone. Ryder is a Marine and a wounded warrior suffering from PTSD. Having chosen to essentially cut himself off from everyone to deal with his PTSD his own way he is a man without the support of those who love him. Megan is Adam's newly found half sister and Adam is also the Master Sergeant Ryder served under while in the Marines. She is housesitting when someone breaks into where she is staying and robs her. This is when Ryder is given a mission by Adam to protect his sister until they figure out what is going on. She teaches him how to live again as he teaches her how to discover the joys of intimacy and not letting past decisions hold you back from living life to the fullest…. I absolutely fell in love with these two characters and could so relate to them. Every struggle they faced and every success I felt as if I was a part of it. Fantastic read….

Another great book by Kallypso Masters!  It's shorter than the rest in the series but just as well written as the rest. Ryder & Megan make a wonderful couple and it was interesting to see how their meeting was happened.

I liked the book, not as great as the rest of the series but still a great read.

I absolutely LOVE Kally and her characters.  I'm not so sure which of the leading men I love more.  I initially fell head over heels for Adam, then Damion stole a piece of my heart.  Just when I didn't think there was room left for a Master, Marc and Luke double teamed me and took up residence in my heart.  Now there is Ryder coming in on his Harley making me laugh, cry and definitely think.  What's a girl to do?  I will acknowledge that I see pieces of me in all of the women in the series, and that definitely pulls at my heart strings.  You have done it again Kallypso Masters, and I can't thank you enough.

Ryder, a vet, has closed himself off from friends and family since coming home. Due to the care and detemination of one woman and the twisted care of a fellow vet, he begins to open up. Nobody's Lost is an emotional and healing story that is a great addition to the Rescue Me series.

When I read the other 4 books in this series, I read them back to back, and wrote the same review for each one. As its been some time since then, I'll review this all on its own, and will do that for any future books. Megan is Adam Montague's half sister. We met her previously when Adam reconnected with his mother. Ryder is also mentioned in passing in a previous book. NOW, it says, that this is a stad alone and can be a new starting point for the series. THIS is correct, however, it would be more beneficial to you, as a reader, to read the other books first, it will help make this one make more sense, you'll have a better understanding of the others talked about here. Ryder is sent by Adam to Megan's after a break in. Ryder has been a bit of a recluse since he left active service, and his Master Sergeant asking or help is a sure fire way to get him out of his deep dark hole. His reaction to Megan is instant and unexpected. He hasnt reacted to a woman in some time, and he fights hard, but Megan fights harder and dirtier! What I really REALLY loved about this one, the scenes....or rather the LACK there-of. Hardly ANY! If you've read the tohers in this series, you'll know, they are, at times, difficult reading, emotional, rather than badly written. And they are many. Here?? not so. Why did I love that?? I've no idea, but thats the only thing that comes across, to me, sitting here writing, was that I LOVED there werent many scenes! Weird, yes, for Kallypso Masters writes these sorts of stories like no other I've come across. And I was expecting more. But I'm not disappointed there werent more, I loved that there wasnt! It is quite a bit shorter than the others, and to be honest, it didnt need to be longer. Its a short burst, to keep you hanging on til Nobody's Dream, due out in March 2015. I have just one question...Will Grant get her own book?? I'd love that! She's a sneaky one!
