About the Author

Yang Liu is an associate professor in dynamics and control in the engineering department of the University of Exeter, United Kingdom, and an honorary lecturer at the endoscopy department of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Professor Liu was the lead guest editor of a special issue on “Self-Propelled Robots: From Theory to Applications” in Meccanica.
