About the Author

Lynne M. Smelser is a freelance writer, educator, owner of the real life Noodles and Goo (whose names are really Tasha and Pearl) and a mom. She began writing for children while leading writing workshops at an elementary school and continues to volunteer her time to work with children in her community. She has twice placed in the top 20 in the annual Writers Digest national writing competition and has earned various other awards for her children's work, adult novel, and essays.
