She was a great student and quite popular at school. Everything was going well until a teenage Elena realized she was stuck in a difficult situation. She was innocent and had no idea about what was out there in the world. This was just the beginning of the chain of hardships that she was about to face. In her book Not Perfect but Fierce and Fearless, she shares the story of her life and discusses her experiences by revealing her deepest secrets. Elena doesn't regret anything in her life, because she believes everything, good or bad, teaches us something valuable.

About the Author

Elena Batista Morales is a Latin woman. She completed 12th Grade and wasn’t able to go to college. At the time of her birth, her parents were informed by the doctors that she would only live for a short period of time and would make it to her 7th birthday.

Elena went through an incident when she reached the age of 7. She was run over by a newspaper delivery guy. Her parents thought he had killed their daughter. Elena herself thought that she would never walk again, but by the grace of God, she came out of that accident without facing any problems walking.
Today, she is 57 years old and in the best and healthiest condition, she has ever been. She has played out many dreams in her life and has seen many of her dreams come true. One of her biggest dreams was to write a book one day precisely about her life, and here she is, achieving her biggest dream. She has dedicated many years of her life reading books about different topics and has gained a lot of knowledge through those books.
