About the Author

Sharon Baskerville is delighted to be an Early Childhood Educator, advocate, writer, wife, mom, and Grammy. A native New Yorker from Brooklyn, she currently resides in North Carolina. Sharon holds a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She dedicates her weekends, early mornings, and summers to writing and creating about real issues in inclusive classroom communities. Recognizing that children have genuine emotions, abilities, and disabilities, she aims to make a difference by sharing stories, ideas, and solutions for young children, teachers, and families facing everyday challenges. Her social stories encompass dance and movement, sign language, diversity, conflict resolution, and, most importantly, lots of giggles, wiggles, and joy for young learners and the adults who teach and care for them.

My name is Ira Baykovska. I am a children's book illustrator based in Lviv, Ukraine.I've been drawing for as long as I can remember and sometimes cannot believe that this hobby has become her life-long career. I started out very young, which is almost a running joke in our family. When I was almost three years old, and I drew my first illustrations on the brand-new painted walls in my parents' bedroom. Oddlyenough, I wasn't punished for that (which is still a mystery to me), so my love to drawing grew bigger from that day on.I've been working as a freelance illustrator since 2014 and has illustrated more than 30 books for kids. I'm a mom of two beautiful girls. Kids are my most important critics, of course. So, when I became a mom, I always tried to see how my girls like my art or what they think about other book illustrations. Children are so creative, and my girls sometimes ask me such out-of-the-box questions that I would never think of myself. I'm very thankful to them for being my main inspiration.I have a degree in Graphic Design, so oftenly I work not only as an illustrator for the book projects, but designer as well.Visit my website www.baykovska.com
