About the Author
Gregory Morgan is committed to a concept of mission that calls us to be informed activists, living out our theology as part of the work of the kingdom of God. His Salvation Army Officership has included leadership of small rural congregations to large suburban multicultural ministries, and many years teaching in Melbourne, Australia. He holds tertiary qualifications in theology, ministry, education, and leadership.
What People are Saying About This
"Partnering with God offers the best of missional theology and practice alongside the strengths and local stories of the Salvation Army. Written by two practitioner-scholars within the movement, this will become a standard text for Salvation Army mission and ministry training. It is also inspirational and accessible reading for others eager to learn what God is doing all around the world in different streams of the church."
Darren Cronshaw, Professor of Missional Leadership and Head of Research, Australian College of Ministries
"Lynette Edge and Gregory Morgan have given us a foundation and framework for mission in the twenty-first century. Drawing from their considerable research, frontline experience, and deep reflection, they offer a comprehensive profile of what it means to be a missional church in a diverse global world."
Phil Needham, author of Community in Mission: a Salvationist Ecclesiology
"This book prompts us to ask ourselves the difficult questions, spurring us on to be more missional Salvationists, and therefore a better Salvation Army. This book is a must for all Salvationists!"
Casey O'Brien Machado, Territorial Social Justice Coordinator and Soldier, The Salvation Army Australia
"A must-read for everyone considering Salvation Army soldiership, and every soldier (including officers) reviewing their covenant. . . . A great resource for personal or small group study centered upon Salvation Army soldiership as a mission-focused life."
Floyd J. Tidd, Commissioner, National Commander, The Salvation Army Australia
