A masquerade ball.
A revealing secret.
A loud scandal.
After a morning when all went amiss, Oin's best friend pops in to talk his friends into attending the peculiar costume ball at the Royal Albert Hall. Oin doesn't like the idea at all. Temy, on the contrary, loves it all the more. So Oin agrees although he knows what difficulties to expect. But Temy cannot even imagine the challenges she sets for herself and her darling to face.
When they return home, Oin wants to ease the tension the unusual ball has caused her, and so surprises his darling with something truly special. Unfortunately, it backfires and they both feel miserable for it. As if that weren't bad enough, the next day the radio floods the airwaves with reports which all of them would rather had never heard.
Temy is deeply hurt. She cannot deal with Oin's newly discovered traits and runs away. Oin wants to stop her and prove himself in the right, but he doesn't get the chance. He loses track of her. He desperately searches for her, fearing in his heart that he could lose her forever.
The woman whom he admires above all others believes that he has never loved her. Due to the uncanny spiritual bond they share, this misunderstanding could easily cost Temy her life.
Will Temy's delicate soul survive this disappointment? Will their bond help them find the road back to love, or will it part them for another life?
