Overview

General Nikolai Karpoff of the Soviet Military Intelligence and the Zaporozhian Sich, a clandestine underground group dedicated to the overthrow of communism, join forces in a masterful series of maneuvers threading through the labyrinths of power. Together, they manipulate the supreme commanders of both East and West to secure freedom for the people of the Eastern Bloc. In a series of power plays that have stretched over three hundred years, the rise of democracy and the fall of the Berlin Wall depend on one final checkmate.
