Will Payton’s pursuit of truth be her last?

Payton Winters is thrust into the position of CEO of The Winters Corporation after the sudden death of her parents. But the challenge of her new role is nothing compared to coping with her evolving enhanced abilities. Payton can ground those who possess psychic powers—some of whom have taken refuge at the Winters Corporation. Now she has unwillingly become a mental anchor for a man she wants no part of, Collin McBain. While on a routine mission, Collin is drugged, tortured, and injected with wolf DNA. Believed dead, he is secretly assigned to the Winters Campus; his only road back to life is through Payton.

Faced with her new roles, Payton realizes her life is based on half-truths. Now she’s compelled to pursue her mother’s research to understand why she and her two sisters were genetically altered before birth. Payton’s pursuit embroils her in a world of secrets, lies, kidnapping, and murder, but her future depends on deciphering the lies of the past.

Well well well. My how the p(l)ot thickens in Book 2, PAYTON’S PURSUIT. I really enjoyed this book, more so than Book 1. It is still heavy on genetics but you see Payton coming into her powers much more strongly this time. Joanne continues to use the mixed narrative that I enjoy and this book is just really well paced. Based solely on the blurb, you will never guess who Payton’s romantic interest is… and far be it from me to ruin your surprise! I will say that when their passion heats up, it is just naughty enough…and the bedroom door is left open once again. This is an exciting and fast read that I did from cover to cover in one sitting. I can’t wait to see what happens in WILLOW’S DISCOVERY! *****5 Stars***** I received a copy of this book from a tour promoter in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own, and I was not compensated for this review.

Another amazing book in The Winters Sisters series! Payton and Collin are featured in this one and wow, what a pairing! Collin was injected with wolf DNA as part of a botched government experiment. He can’t fully control the wolf side, especially when he is angry. Anytime Payton gets near Collin, she has horrible headaches and passes out. Victory tries to help her sister control her powers so that doesn’t continue to happen. Collin experiences a sense of calm when he is around Payton, which is completely opposite of her feelings. Payton finds him irresistibly handsome, but tries to deny her attraction because he is the one who kidnapped her sister, Victory. Talk about a mess of sexual tension! Then, there is the storyline with Biotech vs The Winters Corporation – to which Payton is CEO of. This is causing a ton of stress to Payton because of Biotech’s threats. I won’t give away what happens, but it is a great suspenseful part of the story. More comes out about the Winters’ parents and how the girl all gained their powers. Secrets are revealed and the sisters all learn something about their mother that they never knew. There is so much going on that I can’t wait for Willow’s story to see where this series goes! *Copy provided for review.

Payton’s Pursuit, Book Two of the Winters Sisters Series, is a masterful tapestry of three-dimensional characters, suspenseful plot lines, and sexual tension. Ms. Jaytanie’s attention to detail in her fictional world, where both hero and heroine are genetically altered, made me successfully suspend reality while I read the book. I cared what happened to Payton and Collin as they navigated the world of bioengineering and their own role in that world. Halfway through the book, the sophisticated plot had me wondering how all the conflicts would be solved, but just like in the first book of the series, Chasing Victory, Jaytanie successfully pulled all the pieces together for a satisfying ending. Bravo to Ms. Jaytanie for a book well written! I look forward to the third book in the series.

I totally love this series Ms. Jaytanie has me hooked, this is so different than any other book of this nature. Military soldiers were injected with wolf DNA but they do not turn into a wolf, they do not grow fur or sharp teeth. What they do have is the power, their eyes change color etc. The winter sisters are finding out things about themselves they did not have a clue about. They each have special abilities that started before they were born, they are just now leaving them unsure of their past, their parents and so much more. In Payton’s Pursuit we learn more about Payton Winters who is the CEO of The Winters Corporation. She learns her abilities deal with a grounding force to people who possess psychic powers. Payton is a wonderful character as are her sisters. She has trouble dealing with what she can and can’t do, she feels more than most which causes trouble for her. She has brains and beauty with a wonderful personality what is there not to love she is just a wonderful lovable character. Collin we meet in book one he is a real hot head and must learn to control his self. After kidnapping Payton’s sister which he hoped she could help him get back to normal there is a few touch and go moments between these two. With Payton’s help he could learn to control his self but at what cost to Payton? I just love Collin as I did in book one he is a true stud muffin with his military background he is a man to watch out for. When you add the wolf DNA you have one super power male who kicks butt and takes no names. He is truly one gentle man until you make him mad or try to harm those he loves than he wolf side comes out and you better hit the ground running. Robin Rowan as the narrator is outstanding she had me on the edge holding on more than once. She even gave me a few chills as she tells the tale the author gives. I could listen to her all day with her many different voices you can feel the pain, lose and sorrow these characters must live with. Her tones are right on the mark as you listen you felt as if you are there. Before you know it the book is over leaving you wanting more. She really did an outstanding job narrating the outstanding read. As in book one the author gives you a wonderful believable story of pain, sorrow, lost, starting over, control, mystery as she twists the story it is anyone’s guess at the outcome. This author doesn’t give anything way as she turns a compelling tale of what life could be if some mad man got his hands on drugs mixed with animal DNA. She gives you wonderful characters you can fill their pain it rips your heart out to see how normal people are changed and lose control, why bad men use this power to gain the upper hand in most likely a war yet to come. You get to watch love grow between two people who are unsure and who could mostly likely kill each other if they do not learn how to control their abilities. As a reader you want to reach out and help these characters take down the men who are trying to take over the world. You have to wonder what this author has in store in the rest of the series. There are many ways she can take this but I feel sure whatever she decides will keep you on the edge of your seat with your breath held for the outcome. I for one was glad to see the outcome in Payton’s Pursuit but it does leave you wondering who or what will be coming up next to give the world evil and what their plans are for these poor helpless children who have no control over their lives. This author has got me hooked on Paranormal I can’t wait for the next one in this series. I have only one question WHEN WILL BOOK 3 BE OUT? I can’t wait and want it now. I highly recommend this book to anyone who thinks they might be interested in Paranormal this author just might turn you around as she has me. If you love Paranormal this is a must read to add to your book collection. I am sure before long she will be one of your favorite authors as she is mine.

Awesome slightly paranormal romance & suspense… Loving these Audio Books. As the second book in this series, it’s a story about Payton, Victory’s sister.  Payton is the CEO of the Winters Corporation.  Payton didn’t know she had any powers until coming into contact with Collin.  You can read about Collin’s history in the first book, Chasing Victory.  Payton ends up keeping Collin calm, with her new found powers.  Where does it lead them, and what kind of suspense do they end up entangled in??  You’ve just got to read this book!  Like the first book in this series, which I loved, this book is a must read.  It also has sexy Alpha males, beautiful women and some gripping suspense.  As in the first book, the author portrays this story in a way that keeps you captivated to the end.  This was my second Audio book, and I loved it.  You’ve got to try out these Audio books, they’re awesome!!

Another amazing book in this series. This book has a great balance of suspense and romance. I love all the twists in the book. The way the characters interact with each other really pulls you into the great plot. I can't wait to read Willow's story. I highly recommend this book.

I definitely recommend reading this series in order, this book picks up where the 1st left off and you may be confused with all the gene manipulation talk without reading in order. I really liked seeing the workaholic Payton let loose a bit and live a little. Her power to ground others brings her closer to Colin and that's what they both needed. He's not adjusting well and she needs to lighten up a but. This was definitely a good read and I'll be reading the next book in the series.

Really love her writing. Love this series and yeah loved Collin and Payton. Love her sisters....need I say more? Really? Oh fine! The saga continues with Biotec. Poor Collin has been through Hell! He's a changed man and not even a man anymore but something more. Its pure torture and its no wonder he went a little crazy. For some reason Payton anchors him and he must be close to her, willing or not. Mostly not in her case. She's not a happy camper. Payton's not been told the truth about herself so she's having her own issues with things. Can her and Collin muck through? Ends on HEA...but no spoilers...sorry!

I really loved this book! Continuing some time after the first book, Payton is the focus of this book. Collin is now staying at the Winters Corporation campus along with Morgan. Payton's abilities include helping others focus themselves, though she doesn't really know it yet. Unfortunately the Kaleidoscope Group is still up to no good. I wonder what Willow will discover in the next book? Ummmm.....

Ok. Book 2 is complete and it was awesome. In book 2 Ms. Jaytanie continues Collin’s story. Collin is really having a hard time control his rage urges, due to the DNA additive he was injected with in book 1. Victory is working hard and to find a buffer to help him before it is too late. Payton is having a hard time being near Collin, because she is still upset that he kidnapped her sister and almost got her killed. Not just that but Collin cause her deep pain in his presence. Collin has the opposite effect. He feels peace and calm near her. Victory is trying to convince her sister that she has a natural abnormal ability. Can Payton come to terms with the new developed abilities? Can Collin control the rage? Will Collin be able to get Payton to trust him? Will Payton get hurt trying to help? Can Tristan’s team figure out who the is the puppeteer of the KG? So many questions….. This book again like the first, was exciting and action packed from the first page. I am loving this series. It is adventurous, sexy, fun and thrilling. It will have you on the edge of your seat. Her characters are so interesting, she has you begging for more. The chemistry and team work between all the characters, is like a well oiled machine, with the story flowing so smoothly. The books are not rushed and the plot is thickening and keeps developing with each book. OK, so off to read the third installment. Stay tuned……

My Review Joanne Jaytanie shows us that "Chasing Victory" was not a fluke. Her talents again shine in "Payton's Pursuit" with well developed characters and a plot that flows smoothly and quickly. The drama never slows as it builds to it climatic end. The chemistry between Payton and Collin is off the charts but the chasm they must cross to reach forgiveness and love is wide and one they are not always willing to traverse. Adventure, intrigue, suspense, paranormal abilities and romance abound. Join the second Winters sister as she learns about her abilities and connection to Collin and some of the others on campus. Another great read to be savored and enjoyed. My rating is 4.75 out of 5 stars.

Joanne Jaytanie's "Payton's Pursuit" is the second tale in the Winters Sisters series. I think this one is even better than #1! I love the mythology, wolf DNA, reading minds, telepathy, etc. I love that Payton and Collin are destined yet have to work so hard to be together. Some very hot sexy scenes! I can't wait to read #3 & #4!
