Playing Life

Playing Life outlines how mysterious and precarious life can be. On the one hand life can be taken for granted and, on the other, circumstances can change its direction at any time. From the moment of awareness until the end of existence humans desire to have purposeful lives, enjoy the time assigned to them and develop meaningful relationships.

Playing Life delves deep into the issues human beings face; from chasing perfection to accepting immortality. It explores human inspirations and desires and how to overcome road-blocks that limit potential, acknowledging the struggles that come with everyday living.

Life is similar yet different for everyone in it. All participants have to navigate the same game board according to their uniqueness. The author demonstrates how players can benefit from the diversity of others in all stages of life.

Waddington, a healthcare practitioner and life student in her sixth decade, captures the trials and tribulations as well as the triumphs life serves up. She highlights the power of body language, the challenges of modern day living and the importance of the pragmatic use of time.

Life can be played in a number of ways;-a cup half full always favours a cup half-empty. All experiences deliver lessons, it's what you take from these lessons that count. Choices can be difficult but the cards selected will have a tremendous influence on health, happiness and prosperity.

About the Author

Kathleen M Waddington is a single parent to one adult child and resides in Melbourne . She has always been interested in helping people which attracted her to the healthcare profession. She currently works as a nurse, midwife and hypnobirthing practitioner. In recent years she became aware of how expressive writing could help others in their journey and her first book, Parent and Child - the two person family, was published to guide and inspire other single parents. Much of the content of this book was applicable to a wider audience, so with a combination of research, her expertise in health and through her own life experiences she created a book on the analysis of life. She is now in her sixth decade as a life student. Waddington has also published articles in Pathways to Family Wellness and Bub Hub magazines.
