About the Author

H. James Harrington is a Quality Assurance Project Manager at IBM Corporation, San Jose, California, and a Professor at Columbia Pacific University, San Rafael. California. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Society for Quality Control, Honorary President of the Asian Pacific Quality Control Organization, and has served as National Vice-President of the International Management Council. In addition, Dr. Harrington is affiliated with numerous other professional associations and societies. The "Harrington-Ishikawa High Quality Award" of the Asian Pacific Quality Control Organization was named after Dr. Harrington. The recipient of many professional awards and honors, Dr. Harrington is a noted author and lecturer on quality control and management topics.
